Agent Yellow Alright, soo.. I just finished watching The Host.

U.S. and World Health Organization (WHO) with help from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) intervent and use Agent Yellow, though the decision seems to be mostly the US's. It is a state of the art chemical and deployment system developed by the U.S. to fight virus outbreaks or biological terror. It is an extremely powerful and effective system, that once activated, completely annihilates all biological agents within a radius of dozens of kilometers. Should not be within 500 meters of release point. Agent Yellow can be fatal especially to the elderly and children, pregnant women, and those with respiratory disorders. Citizens groups issue strong protests claiming "Agent Yellow is unsafe".

So there's this creature. It's hinted at that it's a mutation caused by the release of toxic chemicals into the Han River in Korea. News spreads around that its the host for a virus and the governemnt steps in to conduct testing. They decide that the situation warrents the use of Agent Yellow. However, it is also revealed that they know there is no virus.

What the hell is Genero doing? The new lab he is building is some kind of giant cooler or refrigerator. The GI I talked to said they are bringing in cold weather gear from a base in Goose Bay but routing it through the a?th [? possibly a number nth] Infantry stationed at Clark Air Base to hide the trail.

The only Infantry unit that was ever really "stationed" at Clark Air Base was the 37th.

So we had wild spec fest this afternoon in the chat room. Is Matt's father (John Jr) still alive? Is he the one sending the clues to make M.A.R.A. public?

are we sure about that?
do we have proof he is dead?
"my father was reported missing and presumed dead after he failed to show up for his meeting ". So it's not impossible that Matt's father is still alive.
