I get the impression that all of these bits--the cards, the emails, etc., are, in a way, intended for us as a group. I am sure it is fine if you log into the chat, and participate just as if you got an email.

Indeed, this whole game has been very co-op orientated from the start, with an UnForum link on the joining page (and I know for a fact that the PM's read every post on here, so they're not stupid).

Frankie Francis made it very clear to us during the Symposium, that the only way we were going to get through this thing is by working together and pooling our resources. It is the purest sense of the ARG spirit.

Do you think Wilson will notice if I sneak into chat tomorrow?

oh, please do Rekidk. It wouldn't be right without you.

As for the chat I will be logging it but the more the better. there is also a place online that you can use to color code it before posting but I lost the link to it when my other pc died back on Feb. 10. I will try to find it again or try to remember who gave me the link in the first place.

There is a scroll bar now and it also seems to show a certain amount of the conversation before you entered the chat room which is handy.

Remember guys, we still don't know if Brian is to be trusted. He may be just doing this for something that could ultimately put Eva or whoever in a worse spot. Don't give out too much if he starts asking questions.

Also, I wonder if we should tell Pat and Dave about this. Maybe they'd want to come into the chat too?

I got the same letter from Wilson - well if he wants me as a student SRI is rubbish - unlucky coincidence, I'll be at another chat at the same time (and as I invited I really have to be there) so I can't come. Really sorry for this.
Remember that strange math riddle on Wilson's desk? I do think the words have a meaning too - could be that he is forced to work for youkin, could be that he is blackmailed... gosh, anything could be... Confused

Okay, so here's what I'm thinking:

Firstly, we don't know if we can trust "Professor Wilson" or not, especially as we don't *actually* know whether or not this person is Professor Wilson. Frankie, Pat, and Dave all met us in person, and so, although we don't know whether or not we can trust them, we at least knew it was them that we were meeting.

I think it would be good to have a list of specific answers we would like to get out of this chat session. If we are all just asking questions, and we don't have the same agenda, it might be more difficult for US to maintain control of the chat, which I think is important. If HE maintains all of the control, then we only get out of it precisely what he wants us to.

I'd say it's probably a bad idea to invite any of the other people--Frankie, Pat, Dave. We don't absolutely know we can trust them, and if we don't invite them to the chat, we can decide how much information we want to feed them--again, maintaining the control.

The more control we have, the more difficult it is for us to be manipulated, and at least one site (psivolution) talks about trying to manipulate networked entities such as ourselves.

We could even potentially assign questions to specific people so that we don't have too many questions being asked at once--but that seems a bit too organised.

At any rate, my personal list of questions I'd like to ask are something like this:

1. Before we talk about saving Eva, can you give us any evidence to prove your identity and whether or not we can trust you?
(of course he can't do this, but it would be good to see what he responds with)

2. Do you know Frankie Francis, or Pat and Dave, and, if so, can we trust them?
(Again, this is more to establish whether or not they are all on the same side--although, potentially, if Pat and Dave are good guys, this could be exposing them)

3. What is Kenkon's ultimate goal?

4. Who owns subject180287, and what exactly is it?

5. Didn't you resign from SRI? How is it that you are now writing acceptance letters, etc.?

6. Where have you been? We know Eva was at your flat, even, and you were not there.

7. (Obviously) Where is Eva, and how can we help her?

8. Who is Eva's real father?

Okay, that's my first 8. Anyone else?

Questions

Does he know or was he involved with the disappearance of Keir?

As with have no body evidence of him being alive or dead

Excellent!

Also:

Who was Keir Jones' employer?

Is Erwin really just a cat? Is he with Eva?

What is in Youshi, and why did you ask Eva to drink it?

How is Melvin Geist connected to this?

I completely agree with the "not giving out information" thing that Olly said. If he says something about Montauk, for example, I think we should act surprised.

Teri is a friend of mine, she lurks because she has to work a lot and needs her sleep. She will usually log in like that and go on to work or to bed which explains why she didn't answer you.

Good call carmenmiranda, bringing some focus. If 3 ppl ask a question at once then he can easily pick and choose only the ones he wants to answer.

Agreed. I don't think we should mention Pat and Dave to him at all.

But Frankie and Wilson are academics in fields which overlap more than a little. They really ought to have at least heard of each other. I emailed her several days ago with a few questions to see what she knew about Wilson/SRI but... no reply. Maybe the good prof will be more forthcoming about Dr Ironic.

Hopefully I'll make it to the chat tonight, I'd like to see Wilson asked for more detail about SRI itself - What kind of work will we be undertaking as students? Detail about its ownership/backing/corporate ties etc. Is the student cafeteria any good?

I guess what I'm looking for him to do is demonstrate to us that SRI is not just another of Kenkon's many heads.

He has to make some sort of recognition that he delivered the Youshi to Eva and from where we're sitting that makes him look pretty much the definition of the bad guy. Surely he can't be expecting us to ignore his complicity.

We also have the evidence of those photos and scribbled pages from his private section of the SRI site. They seem to be saying that Kenkon forced him into betraying Eva. So what have they got on him?

My Q's:
1. Why should we trust you?
2. What is the true purpose of SRI? (in plain english please)
3. What do you know about Dr Frankie Francis?
4. Why are Kenkon/Geist so interested in Eva specifically?
5. How do we know we're talking to the real Prof. Wilson and not his monstrous 'tache?
