Haha, 2 points to Rogi!

Oh, there's supposedly a small brown dwarf star called Nemesis which theoretically causes mass extinctions every few million years.
All arg-i-ness aside, that's some pretty cool stuff, I'm a bit of an armageddon buff (not counting Ben Affleck)...

Quaint.wav It sounds like a sin wave to me. Could it have anything to do with modulation? just an idea. Oh, and how are you guys decoding the numbers? just asking.
EDIT: Its done on a midi keyboard. Perhaps the notes themselves have some significance?

Haven't heard the wav but from the comment, I thought I would throw out there how some .wav puzzles will form words when viewed on meadia player, just keep going though the different visual options

I can't seem to run Audacity on this old laptop.
Could someone reverse the audio (In Windows Sound Recorder or another program) and run it through Audacity or another spectrum analyzer to get the note frequencies? Too bad it wasn't just saved as a midi file so we could load it into a midi editor to get the notes.
The type of puzzle RedHatty's talking about uses several frequencies at once that, when looked at with a spectrum analyzer scrolls as readable letters on the screen. But it has a very synthesized sound due to the need to mix different frequencies.
In a pinch, you can view those in Media Player using the visualization called, "Particle".

Here's the spectrum. I don't see anything. It seems like a very simple repetitive sequence, anyway; not likely to store much info.

I finally got a bounce on that email - initially when I tried sending to tomSPLAT splitearth.org I got an email from Mike at exactly the same time (leading to the forum), and figured it was an autoresponse. Sorry about that!

This is my purpose.
You see, back in 1987 there was a bit of information leaked throughout the scientific community. A body was theorized to be encircling the solar system. The small brown dwarf is as real as a normal dwarf. No cause for alarm. I hope I haven't scared anyone with my earlier posts.

You know guys, what if something was orbiting the solar system and it was somehow blocked out by our sun. We wouldn't be able to see it at all! Thats food for thought.
This from the forum sounds like the earth twin theory.

a "Counter-Earth?" If anyone even THINKS a three-letter word starting with "G" I'm totally out of here. Seriously.
But that does sound cool...

And I suppose patience is a virtue:
ETA - Ok, the morse translates to hex which translates to... Morse in a different format? Or maybe I'm wrong about that, here's a good link for morse translation:
http://morsecode.scphillips.com/cgi-bin/morse.cgi
The "Final Test" requires a password to unrar - I'm guessing the translation of the "timertimertimeroldtimer" code will be the pswd. Over my poor head at the moment.

Frightened.
I am so frightened, my discovery is about to be brought to the light. They've been watching what I've been doing for months now. There is little time. If no one sees the hidden board soon we'll lose our voice completely.

Not such an Old Timer... WOW! That was so mindsplitting I've decided not to ETA the previous bit...
Here's how it goes:
Morse to Hex to Reverse Binary to Base 64 to ASCII (edited for correct sequence):

This is the sad sad realization I've just made, using the scientific documents which I somehow managed to "borrow" form the chief scientist of NASA.
