Not only that, but I think there's some static at the end of In This Twilight that needs to be put through a spectrogram.

I registered just for this one, better be good.

Already been done on the echoingthesound forums.

Some speculated that the beginning of the track had an image of the twin towers, but likely just a coincidence.

Depressing.

Clips of words in the background to the side of the photos. I'll bet someone can cut & paste into some words (like on the other sites).

Most of the words form an excerpt from this quote from Walt Whitman:
Walt Whitman's Caution wrote:

TO The States, or any one of them, or any city of The States, Resist much, obey little;
Once unquestioning obedience, once fully enslaved;
Once fully enslaved, no nation, state, city, of this earth, ever afterward resumes its liberty.

However, not all of the letters in the image are used ("hour wh", "yran", and probably more). Not all of the letters in the background of http://www.anotherversionofthetruth.com/artist.htm ("violat", which is above post 7), are used to form the quote from Slaughterhouse Five, either. I'm sure that they form a larger quote, but my skills with photoshop are rather limited.

I don't see a track 17 listed on http://yearzero.nin.com/. (I suppose it could be camouflaged behind all those zeroes...)

all the other leaked tracks have been listed though. this one is a bit strange. there was that hint at another album, year one. maybe it has something to do with that?

the "twin towers" is just from the static all through he song. ran the end bit through and looked like there was something until i looked harder Embarassed

Many previous nin albums have "hidden tracks" (or bonus tracks if you want to be less mysterious).
I'd be really happy if there was a Year One of course but I think this 24.17.1 still relates to yzero. Year one would probably be halo 25 anyway.

i think you are right, i just read that the japanese version will have 17 tracks. that makes sence. nin often have more tracks on japanese release or other foreign release.

It seems this attack on Hollywood could have triggered World War III, seeing as WW4 was mentioned earlier. This is definitely what caused the war in Iran.

Also, what's the story with the numbers? It seems the only real word we have so far is "godgiven".

The only reason we have a word at all is that "god given" is one of the names of the songs on Year Zero and a section of the number are continuous. I could find a method of mapping the numbers to the text on the back of a Lucky Charms cereal box and I'd reproduce a contiguous block of text with the same numbers that produced "god given."

Now that a 17 has appeared (and the track listing on the website has only 16 tracks) people are starting to question the mapping of the numbers and the halo, track, letter method.

while my mind is still open on the subject, the numbers could still relate to halo24 (assuming there's a bonus / hidden track ala broken).

take 24.17.1 frinstance - that could mean '1st letter in trackname 17', or '1st word in song 17' or even '1st letter in first word in song', or it could be related to pretty much anything - as you stated above.

i think we should concentrate on making sure we have all the numbers, and making sure we keep track of the order they were 'given' to us (in case that's important) and hang in there for the long game.

by all means keep trying various bible codes, album codes, ciphers etc - but let's not get carried away with any wild theories, or spend too much time denouncing other people's ideas.

we'll get there eventually Smile

i think there is some difficulty in tracking the order each was found as they may have been release in a different order to when they were discovered. the numbers though i feel are defiantly very important.

I might be able to read it if someone does a blowup and retouching in photoshop, lines are too blurry to decode.

A few things...

On Memoriam -
Quote:
The roads are a parking lot with people dying in every car. Where the ricin falls some people are rolling their windows up, others
down. They turn blue and spasm as their lungs fill up. There's over a thousand hours of youtube clips of them. I haven't found
my daughter yet.

Worth checking YouTube?
Well, I tried and there's nothing that I could find.
I guess this is just a reference.

Remeber on http://105thairbornecrusaders.com/default.htm ?
Quote:

Feb 4
I can see it from the roof of my house.

Guys, if this is the end, it's been an honor.

However the '4' is not visible unless you highlight it.
I don't think it is connected, but could the author be speaking of the first text I quoted?

Memoriam mentions a film called Silence which is in production.

Last thing, Opal turns the eye's Iris black.

I'm not sure if these have been edited to suggest something like Opal or if the photos used actually look like that.

Maybe I'm being silly Razz
