After some thought, I'm going to combine a few discoveries here. So bear with me, also keep in mind it's 530am, and I'm a bit groggy, but I need to get this down bfore I lose it.

On the HC forums, what seems like eons ago, iliketofix posted about his Master, Paranoia.

Quote:
Master sees the world changing. Sees humans become weaker, become easier to scare, and yet, he finds himself weaker. He weakens with humanity.

This implies that, while FP(Father Paranoia) seems to draw his power from people being paranoid, when there is too much paranoia that is floating around, people succumb easily to it, but are desensitized to it. I know it sounds contradicting, but bear with me. It seems there are two different types of paranoia, what we'll call mass paranoia and personal paranoia.

Mass paranoia is when everybody else is scared of something, so you are scared by proxy. Think about how many 'normal' people are paranoid about government conspiracies, the decline of society, etc. Yet, these ideas don't consume them.

Personal paranoia is when an idea sneaks into your head, and sits in the back of your brain, radiating forward. It's not something that someone else tells you to be scared of, it's something that comes from within your own head, as if it was put there, by a Muse, perhaps? This type of paranoia is far more consuming than mass paranoia.

Now, in Love's latest "Hints" post, he says:
Quote:
Calliope almost guaranteed her path once in this century. Father Paranoia spoke to a few select people. He ended her era with much bloodshed. In revenge, she lied about him to others, and he became a prisoner to his own world.

Now I'm not sure what the reference is to ending Calliope's era with much bloodshed. But I believe, in revenge, Calliope started the cold war. An era of Mass Paranoia. All this extra paranoia floating around, propagated by The Media(bolded because this ties in later) weakened FP, and essentially imprisoned him "in his own world"(one of paranoia.)

Now, since the cold war, the media has latched onto plenty of paranoid ideas to keep the ball rolling(Breaking News: A new study found that a common household food item may be lethal. It's so common, you could be eating it for dinner. More news at 11.) All this continual flood of Mass Paranoia downplays the effects of personal paranoia, because it just gets lumped in with the rest of the paranoid ideas in people's heads, and doesn't give FP much use.

However, it has been said multiple times on the HC forums that the videos are FP's subtle way to influence the world to shift into his favor. This is where the network jingles present in the videos come into play. Used at the end of the video, and played backwards, their purpose is to break the media's hold on people's paranoia, and transfer it back to FP. They also signify an end to the era of his imprisonment.

So....what do you think?

This sounds like as good a idea as any currently on the table. Could Calliope's path lead to a nuke?

I suppose, though i have a feeling the method of decline isn't really important, it's the power-shift. If Calliope has her way, according to love, the human race will reach its pinnacle before it should, and thus, the downfall of the human race will also happen more quickly. After the downfall there will be much stagnation, and Maraino will gain power, which is bad for all of us, so love says.

This is probably of little consequence but.....you never know, some may find it useful. Apparently, the Dark Muse we're not to trust, Maraino, takes his name from the Bible. Specifically a word used in the New Testament to describe his function/portfolio, of "wilting" or fading. Of course, the NT is written in Greek, so it probably means nothing, and none of the cases where it appears point to a specific demon or deity, so.....

meh. I suppose.

If Calliope has always taken the attitude she seems to have towards humanity, perhaps there are other famous examples of her work being destroyed.

If I remember correctly, many theories regarding a certain sunken city say that it was quite technologically advanced...

Yea, I remember that being true as well. I did a random search for calliope and atlantis and found this forum.

http://forum.physorg.com/index.php?showtopic=4914

talks about a missing book. Was posted recently and talks about a cover up and says in a later post that "Those who wish to know Truth will look beyond the colors and read the wisdom." I remember love saying that they where all colorblind.

This is most likely not related and is just some crazy but who knows. After awhile everything starts to look like it could tie in. At least I'm trying to look for info elsewhere. It is the last post by the crazy that gets me. He starts going on and on about the eyes of the seer and the nubula of the fallen.

Could he mean something like the boogeyman, or Santa Clause even?

"They believe their fate lies in a man who, in reality, is far too busy to care about mortal affairs"

What does this mean?

Sorry if I someone has already said this, but when I first read this, the very first thought that went through my head was the first part ("He is a star. When these followers have grown enough, the truth is revealed to them. Strange to say, they are generally very relieved.") sounds almost totally like L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology to me. Chances are that it's not, but that was the first thing that popped into my head.

I also thought Scientology, Killian, though I think the general agreement is Crowley.

As far as Calliope's plans, I thought the Cold War, but I don't think that one ever heated up to bloodshed level.

What historical events in the last 100 years involved bloodshed? There's the two World Wars, Vietnam and Korea, and the Gulf Wars. There's also several instances of ethnic cleansing in various areas.

Something makes me lean toward WWII, myself, if only because it's one of the most well-known and because the "Master Race" seems like it could be linked to the idea of forcing humanity to become "better," though a sickly twisted attempt.

Not the cold war regarding the bloodshed, the cold war regarding her revenge against Father Paranoia.

Well the cold war didn't really involve so much bloodshed, except for Afghanistan and related skirmishes, but the Age of Aquarius certainly ended in a lot of bloodshed, and by some really crazy, paranoid people. Jonestown alone, much less Manson, zodiac (and other serial killers), Kent state... and a lot of that certainly aggravated the paranoia of the Cold War.

Play it backwards and it sounds like "Turn me on dead man"

This is a shot in the dark but I think videos 6 & 9 will somehow be an an opposite of each other. Especially since this post comes one day after 6 has been posted.

I don't think this helps anything, but....

If you go to Jack's homepage at http://www.thehappycube.iwarp.com/, there is a broken image at the bottom, marked "Pic for those who didn't think the old couple was splendid enough." The broken image links to http://www.thehappycube.iwarp.com/fs_img/builder/builder80/photo2.jpg

However, if you look at the picture of the old people, it is at http://www.thehappycube.iwarp.com/fs_img/builder/builder12/g_parents.jpg

Changing the address of the broken image to link to builder 12 instead of builder 80 allows you access to photo2. There is also a photo1 through 5. Unfortunately, none of them are particularly impressive. Small pictures of a waterfall, a motorcycle, and a canyon or rock formation, an island, and another waterfall.

there's also a builder80 photo 12:

I think these are all just some sort of placeholders from the website creator, but I thought I would post them here in case they end up having some importance.

Did you notice where the email links are directed to? webmasterSPLATsmithfamily.com

Any possible relation to the "Fraud" of Agent Smith on Youtube?
