Freshly released from rehab, after less than 24 hours, as some reports claimed, the pop singer showed up at a tattoo studio, Body and Soul, in the Sherman Oaks district of Los Angeles, with her head shaved completely bald.

A video on KABC-TV, a Lost Angeles television station, caught Britney's new looks on tape while she was waiting to get another tattoo done on her right wrist, a pair of red and pink lips.

"She just wanted something real small on her wrist, something dainty," Max Gott, the tattoo artist at Body and Soul in Sherman Oaks, told the TV station. "She got some cute little lips on her wrist."

Derrik Snell, another employee at the tattoo saloon, said she showed up unannounced and waited in front of the shop for about 90 minutes before she was allowed in, while fans and photographers gathered outside. Us Weekly magazine reported that she also got a black, white and pink cross tattooed on her lower hip.

"She seemed fine," Snell said. "I didn't really notice (the hairdo) at first, she had a hood on when she showed up."

However, according to Us Weekly magazine, when she was asked why she shaved her head, she replied, "I don't want anyone touching me. I'm tired of everybody touching me."

Another employee at the saloon told Us Weekly that Britney was agitated when she arrived and she "wasn't making sense at all." She said Britney was "totally freaking out."

"She was a nightmare to deal with," the woman told the magazine. "She was screaming and flipping out from the pain and wiggling her body all around."

One of the fans who waited outside the studio to catch o glimpse of Britney's new looks on Friday night said she looked terrible.

"We could see her in the mirror, and her head is completely shaved," Angelique Uram told KABC, "It looks terrible."

Sources close to Britney's family say she her mother is distraught and her family is in "major intervention mode."

"Her mom is constantly crying," the source tells E! Online. "Her family is freaking out."

ABC News reports that Harvey Levin, managing editor of TMZ.com, recently said that Britney's family, concerned about her excessive partying and drinking, staged an intervention and made her go to rehab, although it looks like it didn't last.

"Her family and friends staged what I guess you would call an intervention and basically said you have to go," Levin said. "[They] got her to go to a facility there and I am told she was there for a very short period of time and said this is not for me and left."



Yikes... I think she's gone a bit off the deep end. Fed-Ex is getting custody for sure.

I mean, normally I could care less about celebrities and their tantrums, but I don't think you can fake the kind of unhappiness that seems to radiate off of her.
