[SPEC]Game Merge Is Deus City and the Society for Sedulous Amalgamation the same game? The players of tCoSA just received the following puzzle. When decoded, it parallels perfectly with our game.
I think that might have been an alternative trailhead to this game. The solve is thanks to Nytris Oxyde.
You can check the thread on it over here in the UF forums

Wow. I'd say that's pretty smack on talking about Alex Sr. Defence Corp, the Interface and everything.
I wonder who the lone agent is though...

RedHatty thinks it might be "Listen2Reason"...that person's icon is apparently an unsolved puzzle of significance over in tCoSA and whatnot. I tend to agree, although interaction would require a soft touch. I got rebuffed when I attempted contact, and both RedHatty and I got kinda cryptic responses. (Link ).

Yeah I read that. Listen2Reason also tends to write really wierd posts on the forums.

wow, the backstory letters they got do seem uncannily familliar.
It would be interesting to see if they somehow have keep us in 2 diffrent groups if this infact a merge. So we have the people coming form the brotherhood end and the people coming through the interface, some kind of little competition. This way would also remove the issue of turning players against each other by already having 2 seperate communities working independently, could be fun if they tried. Follows on from the theme of the ingame karma divisions........

I would be a little wary; this posting is in the tCotSA trailhead. Makes me wonder if the PM(s) from tCotSA had been involved in the Deus City game but were kicked out or left of their own accord. Could also be someone stealing ideas. It's based in Michigan as well. Isn't DC based in Texas somewhere?

I'd say, don't open them.. if what I think is true, I used to know the guy who is sending these, who had this idea to launch his ARG.... hopefully I'm right, or else, I fear for your life
Okay, this time I KNOW I'm right, I recognise the line puzzle. Which in turn means I can't play, as I already know what it means.... /me will just have to watch this unfold!

I just shot off a pm to Theopholus:

Dearest Brother,
Please forgive my intrusion so soon after my last commique. Something has come to my attention today. It appears there is another organization which has been completely separated from ours and they are seeking Nostradamus Folio pages. They refer to themselves as tCotSA. Need we be concerned about these individuals?
In Brotherhood

Maybe I'll get a straight answer out of him.

More overlap (as I pore through the tCoSA trailhead)--
A member of tCoSA died in a plane crash, as this letter states. Alex Wright Sr. also died in a plane crash, and is a suspected member of tCoSA (or rather, whatever organization preceded The Brotherhood / Sodality).

Hmm, I guess it will be a race between us - who collects the folio pages first?

But...why? If they're on Alex's dad's side, there's no race...it's just "can we collect the pieces". Only a larger group comprising "we", now.

Well the letter never specifcally states a plane crash.. It states the member dies in a foolish moment of carelessness and unpremeditated adventuring.
I'm still trying to verify that Listen2Reason is the proper contact

For those of you not reading the tCoSA threads, aninterloper discovered that Ethan Sedgewick (eldoradowatcher) is the tCoSA rep in the city. Great job, aninterloper !

Not sure yet. He said he'd be in touch with me.
But one thing it probably means is that the Brotherhood is about to receive a large influx of power.

Wow, this would describe why Ethan hasn't emailed me back. And Listen2reason is a person. Unless they've created a character that like Neal Stephenson books. The two of us have had a few email confersations and I'm lead to believe he's a geek just like the rest of us!
