[CF] Origami Shadows Just a random site? I ran across this post on Craigslist and followed the link to orgamishadows.com .
It seems kind of weird. The source code of one of the pages refers to the "storyline" of the website, so there's at least some narrative.
Anyway, I thought you might find this interesting. No, I don't have anything to do with it.
Sorry if this a repost. I did a search and couldn't find anything about this.
Edit: Retagged and moved to N&Rs. -SpaceBass

Don't think its an ARG, more of a timewaster. There's too many words!!!

Looks like a non-linear narrative to me, with aspects of a timewaster. I'll look into it further tomorrow.

the poem on the first page is very nice. anyway, click the numbers "70617468" on the first page. That takes you to http://origamishadows.com/70617468.html which says "open the door. step into the light".
there's some german on the botton of the page which i tried to translate at freetranslation.com/.
"Wir sind immer am Rande des Fallens über den Rand, ich denken gerecht und passen ihre ausgleichende Tat auf. Sie hat kein Angst, aber ich habe Angst for uns beide."
roughly translates to:
"We are always at the edge of the Fallens over the edge, I think justly and fit its balancing deed up. It has no anxiety, but I have us anxiety for both. "
It probably messed up the translation, so if anyone knows german, please translate it.
in the source code on the second page, a hidden comment says "This site uses cookies as "keys" necessary for unlocking a link on a page that occurs later in the storyline. Please enable/allow cookies from this site in your browser!"
Soo...yeah. seems similar to notpr0n. i'll check it out later.

Open, door and light are all links that take you through a maze of pages with bits of story and lots more hidden links. Also, some pages have a 'key' icon at the start of the page address.

Now my German isn't perfect but a better translation would be something along the lines of (see notes after)
"We are always at the edge of falling
1
over the edge, I think
2
justly
3
and pay attention to your redeeming
4
actions
5
. You have no fear, but I have fear for both of us."
1
Fallens isn't actually a word as far as I can tell, this German seems a bit broken and so I'm doing the best I can to interpolate what might be meant. Fallen is though, which means descent (singular, which the word is here) or traps (plural).
2
The verb isn't properly conjugated here
3
gerecht means just or fair... for an "ly" a "lich" should have been added to the word. Also means fair.
4
This word means balancing, equal, fair, or redeeming. The balancing/equal seems to fit well with 3
5
or deeds
Also, the wording is a little bit funky, but I hope it helps.

The first word, 生命 (seimei), means life or existance. freetranslation.com got it almost right; just drop "the" from it and it's fine.

You've got to be kidding. I have over 65 different pages so far. You need to look more carefully...

I'm slowly working on figuring out what links where and such. Got a great big complicated list of it in WordPad. When (if?) I finish, I'll upload it.

Does anyone know what the picture on Craigslist is supposed to be? I keep thinking how weird it would be if this site was constructed as a story for just one person.

Wow, this is a cool story. I just made it past the checkpoint. So far it kinda reminds me of Vanilla Sky. Some tips:
Everything is relevant.
CTRL-A is your friend.
So is Tab.
So is Notepad.
