Okay, so could someone put up a note there that says, "How can we contact you Eva?" That won't give away that we have had contact with her--in fact, we can inform Wilson and Frankie that we figured we'd try to see if she can see the stuff there in case that will help her to wake up. Because if we can make contact on our own, without help from the Dynamic Duo, all the better for us.

EDIT: In fact, maybe we should ask Frankie if we can "try again" by putting up a message with words in it. Because contrary to what they told us, clearly Eva IS reading text from the video. Don't know if this is a PM mistake, or further evidence that we can't trust Frankie/Wilson.

EDIT 2: As for the syntax for the core address thing, I'm not sure about that. Because it not only says that the syntax is incorrect, but it says that we are using an inactive port. However, it does say that the input has been received. So I guess we've got to figure out what the correct port is as well.

EDIT 3: OR we have to figure out how to deactivate the firewall on the legacy interface.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant that we need to have a contact with her that Frankie and Wilson don't know about. So that we can ask her if she knows who betrayed her. She probably doesn't, but we could ask her other things, too, like her father's birthdate.

No, I don't think that she is getting that info from the message, because every time she responds with the video running, she references exactly what we are seeing. In the case of Russell's note, she says, "What has happened Russell?" Same with the "Missing" and the poster. It could be a coincidence, but I don't really think it is.

I think that was probably to prevent us from putting "Wake Up Eva the bad guys are going to kill you and other terrible things" into a very simple power point presentation, and force us to have a bit of collaboration and create a video sequence that we all had an opinion on.

Thanks for clarifying the "blocks of text" point, RothkoWoofed. I didn't realize that this was the exact reference, so it's good to know that she probably can read small bits of text.

And great job on the upload everyone. Let's hope it garners us something.

And thanks WolfHawk for making the point of the messages even clearer. While I noticed that the text was appearing with the images, the fact that they were appearing exactly next to what she was talking about eluded me entirely.

One point I have been thinking about for the last day or so is that we still don't know if Keir was a good guy or a bad guy. Eva didn't leave her apartment, (or Wilson's anyway) remember, until she was going to have her "date" with Keir. Wilson kept telling Eva to stay put, which seems to lend credence to the idea that he was trying to look out for her best interests, although feeding her the Youshi weighs in on the other side of the argument. I'm thinking that Keir's antics with Eva might have been a clever ploy by Frankie to get Eva out of her apartment. And Keir's warning of "Geist is watching" basically took her away from those of you who were at the live event, which means that it basically took her AWAY from safety. She was probably safer with her friends than away from them.

Anyway, I'm going to keep playing around with trying to send info to the core and see if I can figure out a way to bring down the firewall. I doubt it's going to get us anywhere, but at least it makes me feel like I'm doing something, know what I mean?

Okay, so this is what I think.

We were told that she would see the video as if in a dream, so not to include blocks of text. Fair enough. We were unsure at that point whether or not she was awake, but were told that once she WAS awake, it would be easier to communicate with her. Awake, maybe she can read video text. But the point's moot, because we don't know how to upload videos anyway.

I suppose we could always send a short video clip from a phone and see if it works.

About Keir getting Eva out when he saw her with "us"--that could go either way. Eva was also with Frankie and Pat and Dave. He could have been getting her away from one of them. Also, he died shortly thereafter, so could have been warning her because he knew he was being followed by his attackers.

Frankie comes from NY, meets Eva, Eva disappears, and now we believe that Eva is back in New York at the Montauk facility. I'm telling you, there's something just not right about Miss Alanis. (And have you noticed how much ALANIS looks like ATLANTIS? SHE'S GOT HER UNDERWATER--oh, whoops, sorry, I was Pat and Daving there for a minute)

Our actions are clearly being reacted to, which means the future is not yet written. I think if we do the wrong thing, Eva could really "die". We might find out what happened, but with a dead Eva at the end. Nobody wants that.

Good points, carmenmiranda, but I disagree on one. I'm not so sure that we know that Keir is dead. Sure, there is the report that it was he, but do we know who identified him? Since he didn't seem to have anyone to turn to when he felt he was in danger--he didn't do anything like say, "Maybe I can hole up with Aunt Edna" or "I hope my family is not in danger, too"--I think we can assume that the people who identified him are part of the conspiracy, either SRI or KenKon.

Still, as you said, she was in danger if any of the three you mentioned were evil.

Okay, it's about 3:30 a.m. where I am, so my mind is playing silly scenarios. I just had this picture in my head of someone shoving at Frankie so that her chair fell backward, and then running out with Eva to get her somewhere safe. Wouldn't THAT have been a surprise at the live event!
