Nice find, Diandra! New site - obviously looks just like Wongmo's site.

And is it me, or does the "Zurich" phone number look fake? How about changing it to 1-800-917-4201? I called it but it was a busy signal

did a google on topname.com and that lead me to www.turku.com here is something on it http://www.netti.fi/~jsatopaa/turku/turkucom2.html

Interesting. I don't know if it is in-game or out-of-game, but I did find something odd. The image is that of the sea, right. Now check out the images directory. You can browse it:
http://www.schaffhausen.com/images/

EDIT: Catherwood just noted that this is a valid URL: http://www.underscorehosting.com/affiliates/logos/schuffhausen.org/ushlogo.jpg
Looks like it's in-game. Smile

Additional Edit: Sorry...false alarm. I was looking at .com, not .org.

That's very interesting... this ties Wongmo to James Avery's disappearance, don't you think? Since that's where the Averys went when they disappeared.

I tried dialing the international number (with the 41) and it doesn't seem valid. Tried calling 800-917-4201 and it was busy.

The character's name on Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was Dr. Emil Schuffhausen. His first initial is E. Coincidence?

A couple of minor problems here, while "41" is the correct international dialing code for Switzerland, it should be followed by the city code "1" for Zurich, not "0" (which is a invalid city code). In addition, the number is 12 digits long, and a real Swiss phone number would be only 7 digits (after the international code 41 and city code 1), and would be written as (+41.1) 000.00.00.

So, before you start calling, the number is completely bogus.

Check out page 10... aren't Wongmo and Dr. Kane from Hawaii also?

You are absolutely right, but there is still something fishy about it...
This is the first in-game site that actually has this registrar-info publicly revealed, which almost screams "FIND A CLUE HERE!" in our face...

The phone number is weird... :

- +41 (or every other +xx) can never be followed by one or more zero's.

- it doesn't HAVE to be .1 for Zurich, as it seems to be a 0800-number, which designates, throughout Europe, that it is a free information number

- if you would turn it into a valid Swiss number it would read +41 800 9174201, but that number doesn't exist either

- I dialed that number inside my own country, the Netherlands, and got a voice saying (in Dutch) "welcome to our phone-service. Please enter your card number" and nothing else... I tried a search on the number, which revealed nothing... suspicious, but probably not in-game

Also... the address given is actually that of a Zurich hotel:

http://www.eswisshotel.com/zurich/arabella/

Also, because the reservations number for that hotel lists as 1-800-xxxxxxx I tried turning the AQN phonenumber into that format:

+41 1 800 917 4201

This works and gives me an electronic banking service answering machine, stating that the European Service is currently unavailable and they try to transfer me to New York... as a call to New York would cost me big bucks, I hung up... it's suspicious... AGAIN

It can't hurt to try entering the 702... sth Shuffhousen number Very Happy

BTW, isn't that simply a pay-phone service?
They have them in GB, I don't know about Netherthlands...
You call a free number, get connected and asked for a card number. Then you have to dial a number of your scratch phone card - and can talk as long as there is still credit on that particular card.

You're right, Mag - that's how the mobile phone system works here; but I think the phone number Giskard dialed, within the Netherlands, is an out-of-game thing.

Since Wongmo is obviously running a scam, I wonder if this is his Swiss bank account? Wink

I think so too. Some weird info:

The official site of the hotel is here: http://arabellasheraton.com/?pid=174&lid=de

Another hotel-reservations site lists it, WITH the phonenumber from the Schuffhausen.org WHOIS as a reservations line, here: http://www.zurichhotelsandrates.com/arabella-sheraton-atlantis.html

Rolling Eyes

So, what's this then?? AQN registered a site using false information he ripped from a random Zurich hotel?
