Thank you to Rose & all the organizers for having ARGFest! I had the most incredible time! So much information, so many faces to go with names (and realizing people I was sure were male were actually female & visa versa lol) Even a sprained ankle only slowed me down for a couple hours of Saturday night.

I was so fortunate to find a green fairy at Pier 39 (for my daughter whose uf sn is Greenfairy) and a great pic we will be scanning and making into her avatar. She is only 12 and she is raving about how fun it was.

What an amazing group we all are. You would never think just by looking that we are [affectionately] a "group of internet geeks." What an incredible cross section of world culture we have here.

And for Labfly & everyone else asking - I am okay Smile

I will be wearing the splint on my ankle for a few more days, but it is just one more souvenier from the trip! Very Happy

I loved it! And I agree, let's do a bit of recovery & consider the options for next year so I can start saving for it now & get passports if necessary, both of us WILL be there again!

Thank you to everyone, I met the best group of the sweetest people & best minds the world has to offer. You all ROCK!

Just told Greenfairy that there is a possibility of an European ARGFest & she says, we have to go! I want to see Europe!

Oh yeah - we returned home to 5 new kittens (and one Peeps who missed us terribly)! One looks like a dalmation cat - white with black spots!

Cruel 2B Kind was great fun. The Convention itself was fantastic and inspiring, the panels informative and thought-provoking. Fest Quest was, of course, a blast. A fun-filled Saturday night of Wii Sports, Karaoke, and general hilarity was amazing. The Exploratorium and exploration of San Francisco in general was great fun.

It was very hard to leave, not simply because of the well-run convention, but more so because of the incredible people I wanted to spend more time with. A huge thank you to everyone who helped plan and who attended this awesome event.

I just wanted to add in my words of how great a time I had at argfest. Fascinating panels, great discussion, and good laughs. It was great to meet everyone in person Smile

So many highlights:

Fest Quest. Just about perfect, not too long/short, puzzles not too easy/difficult. Kudos.
Laughing with Krystyn. No, you shut up.
Attempting to sing Michael Jackson @ karaoke. Twice.
The cab ride back from the Exploratorium w/Brian
Musee Mechanique and clam chowder on the Wharf w/Caspian & rose
Dinner @ Chez Claude
Chilling out in the hotel bar with the stragglers
seeing all you wonderfully crazy people

For those of you who couldn't attend: it was like a real convention! I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was with all of the panels. Every last one. The Lonelygirl15/OpAphid guys, Durga/Scrappy/SF0, Sean/Elan's keynote...seriously it was like the ARG All-Stars, and everyone was knocking it out of the park. Amazing. Just amazing!!!

Oh and if I wasn't a total KristenDurga fanboi before (I was), I totally am now. What a cool lady, man. Please do give rose or me a ring if you're in the City.

rose - not only are you planning every single ARGFest evar, period, but I owe you lunch. Well done.

I already informed my wife of the bad news. I'm going to ARGFest next year. No matter where it is. Case Closed.
