 		New code up on romxnce. I'll take a look at it in a moment, talking with TA now.

It's a Vigenere with the thing from TA without the numbers as the key (rtgcb trujnfv v nb ytuv frbrfbcwse wsvg)


Summary of my conversation with TA:
TA has been transferred to a new office. This is probably how his phone was compromised (he admits to this).
Someone here informed him of Nikolai's name.
I asked more about his job, etc. Didn't get a whole lot out of him, he just keeps saying that he can't reveal information. The US gov. is working in its own interests, and he won't talk about why he is interested in the case.
He says that our help to him is completely voluntary and that they're "trying to capture a wanted murderer". I'm not sure I trust them anymore. Especially because he goes on to say this about Alex:
TransientAxiom (11:37:52 PM): He has a criminal mind. As soon as he escaped Ashcroft, he got involved with organized crime. As far as we can tell, the Russian Mafia was most willing to fund his efforts to eliminate key US politicians.
I don't know if the Government should have someone like that in Custody.
The Russians are after him because of his debt to them. Here is what I got about Nikolai:
TransientAxiom (11:31:19 PM): Nikolai Petrovski
TransientAxiom (11:31:21 PM): age 19
benny buckshot (11:31:27 PM): Is he another genetically altered person?
TransientAxiom (11:31:45 PM): born in Tselinoyarsk, Russia.
TransientAxiom (11:31:49 PM): No, not genetically altered.
TransientAxiom (11:33:50 PM): Formerly a hitman for the Russian Mafia, expatriated 2 years ago for failing to fulfill a contract to kill a politician. Was recently hired again under special contract to eliminate Peterson.

So digest away. But I think now we just wait for Nikolai to contact us. I think I'm leaning towards his side for now, at least until I talk to him.

benny buckshot (12:42:37 AM): You mentioned earlier that you might be willing to help Nikolai, does that mean that you'd be willing to allow him to kill Alex?
TransientAxiom (12:43:06 AM): If we decide to assist him, yes.

It also seems that TA is willing to kill Alex though, so that restores a bit of faith, but I have no idea how to find out what Alex meant by "TA is not who you think he is" without talking to Alex again...

Well, I think I might have messed up, time will tell. I was talking to TA, assuming he had knowlege of the romxnce site update and decoded vigenere cypher. I asked if they knew if he infiltrated the network himself, or if he had help. TA had not known about this, commented that this was a "disturbing development", and then said he had to go.

The other thing that came up...it seems that the govt and TA seem to veiw Nikolai as a wildcard...I didn't get the feeling that they were as adament about capturing him.

 		All I can think of is that Alex is just spouting junk to save his own ass. He knows Ol' Tranny and Nick are out for him, so if he can get us to not trust one or both of them, he's got an edge.

So that's it? Is there an official response by the people that are running this game?

To tell the truth I just found out about these ARG's today and this was the first one that really sparked my interest so I don't have much experience with this stuff.

I noticed that the site is still online but all the links require logins and I don't seem to see any reall messages except "OHHH HIII". Also, the heading for the site is PIG company.

Seems a shame. Either way, I'll keep browsing the forums I guess and check back in the morning.
