 		Wow, they put in a real wiki. I edited in something of my own because I didn't expect it to work, but it showed up! Ballsy play by NBC.

 		Don't forget to try and keep the wiki In Game. This means no refering to TV show.

An example of people not remembering this is in the Anomalies page where characters abilities are listed alongside the episode and chapter that we first saw it.

 		There's a spot to email mohinder suresh. Looks like it just gets added to the wiki.

Though I must say there's gotta be a way to keep the lurk3rs in their cages...
On the wiki, someone suggested that the "Article" section should remain in-game, but that the discussion pages should be open to all manner of discussion. Thoughts?

Also, just a note...
In Firefox, the main pages of the site have a dna molecule as the page icon, while the wiki holds the nbc logo.

One last observation... perhaps a clue that NBC might not be as serious about all of this as we had hoped....

on the user preferences for the web site, there is an option to change the skin for the wiki. Two of the options are for heroes themed skins...

Perhaps they're not planning to go full ARG on us?
I know I'd be disappointed

Just pulled this quote off of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute's website, "Cholesterol is found only in foods that come from animals. Foods very high in cholesterol include:Egg yolks, Organ meats (Liver, kidney, and brains are especially high in cholesterol.)"

Maybe a discreet clue that Sylar IS actually eating the brains, or otherwise ingesting, the brains of other heroes.....just spec....but come on, where the hell else are those brains going?????

On the wiki, ANYONE can add stuff. Chances are that "contact Mohinder" link was a fan who stuck it in there to generate traffic to his YT site.

Until they fix that or continue to allow it - take everything in any 'edit' field with a grain of salt.

This is looking more and more as an extension of the TV show, giving additional content and a playground for viewers who love to search the internet for stuff related to their favorite TV shows (remember Lost the first season????) and give the fans something to keep them interested during the hiatus. I'm sure we'll see some puzzles and ciphers (based on the response during the Screen2 activity last week - 80% of responders like them and can do the, alone or with buddies). This is an opportunity to play in the Alternate Reality of the HEROES world (all fiction is an alternate reality) and we are playing, so that might make it a game....but don't expect any interaction with personalized responses, having to solve a puzzle to get the next chapter (i.e. we're getting the info whether we solve it or not, they are spoonfeeding us), or affecting the storyline by our actions/inactions/interactions.

As we expand our definitions of ARG, this is just another version along the spectrum of "chaotic fiction" (see SpaceBass's article in unfiction.com).

I'm going to sit back and enjoy the ride. But I'm not expecting a "Full Fledged ARG" in the manner of "Chasing the Wish", "Art of the Heist", "Urban Hunt", "I Love Bees", "Sammeeeees", etc. (I used examples for which I am familiar and have enjoyed playing or watching).

So, maybe, personally, I'd label this an ARGE (Alternate Reality Gaming Experience)??? Whatever, some times we don't need labels to enjoy the entertainment. It is interesting how they have been experimenting with various means of interaction over the internet and txt msg. Could a FAX be next?

 		based on the history of this 'Wireless' user on the wiki, I find it hard to trust any of their edits as legitimate. Many of them have been re-edited and fixed.

If that was indeed the PM, then that's good that they're actually trying to keep it in-game, as opposed to another fan site.

Looking at Samantha's myspace... it says that her last login was February 20th, so almost 2 weeks ago, if that means anything.
I'm guessing that there will be more activity here in the next few days.

It looks to me like NBC is using this hiatus during March Madness to work on the experience side of Heroes. Hopefully, they'll work out something good.



Off Topic:
Some speculation about what we can expect

1) This is a VERY popular show, so NBC might try to cater to audiences of all types
2) There will be Lurkers and trolls on most of the public faces of the websites. This can add to realism, but it may be difficult to weed through all of it. Remember.... Don't feed the Trolls
3) Characterization could work out well to our advantages. It looks like NBC is really trying hard to put out as legitimate pages as they can.

Overall: Take it all with a grain of salt, as it will certainly be a bit dumbed-down, but the overall quality should be pretty good

Makes sense to me. I'm not sure what the official "rule" is though, if there even is one. I would like the wiki to be in game but it might be a little hard to inforce the idea.

On a seperate note, was it really neccessary for NBC to use the most unreliable website in the world AKA Myspace? I got 3 error messages just trying to add Hana as a friend.

 		I found a photobucket that is used for the contact table on her myspace. Looks like the contact table is the only thing on there now but might be worth looking at in the future??
