Guest Puzzle Architect: Michael Fox (though I think his name would be improved by a C rather than an F Wink )

John, Paul, George and Ringo. Four names synonymous with changing the history of music forever. But did you know that the band also had an unhealthy obsession with numbers? Check out the lyrics to their songs, and numbers are everywhere - Now by using the information on the blackboard, can you solve the equation and name the song it referenced?

'Mistress Frog-Catcher, we believe we have that which you have lost,' Ilja told her. 'We would happily return it to you, but in exchange, we beg that you take us in your boat to the edge of the swamp.'

The frog-catcher readily agreed to this exchange, a wide smile spread upon her face. 'First, let me be sure that you have what I have lost' she said, and held her hand out for the precious gemstone. But once Anja placed it in her hand, the frog-catcher pushed away with her pole, saying only, 'Thieving orphans, I owe you nothing'.

Little Anja wept; and Ilja called after the frog-catcher and bade her most bitterly; 'Remember, now, that you did not keep your word, lest you someday rely on the word of another.' Then Ilja and Anja again passed through the reeds of the swamp, hand in hand, sorrowful as ever, seeking a home and a family to replace what they had lost.

There are 2 Revolution tracks on The White Album, but I can't get the answer using either one.

Well, I got the answer correct, but it was more a lucky guess than anything to do with the puzzle, so it's most unsatisfactory.

*scratches head* I got it through researching all the numbers and doing the sum... thought afterwards 'this puzzle can be short-circuited with a guess' but was really satisfied at the time with the way it had all neatly worked out.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I nearly went wrong with the taxman clue - there were a couple of other numbers that might have been the right one, apart from the one that was correct.

I found my error, working back from the correct answer. There is more than 1 Beatle's song that refers to Sunday drivers - I took my answer fom Day Tripper, which is not the correct one.

I was rather bothered by this for awhile. I ended up working it out with both and one has a rather nonsensical answer, so I defaulted to the other. Confused

I was thrown by this too. It doesn't help that even the lyrics of the correct song don't refer to a specific number of people "Sunday driving", which is supposedly the point of the puzzle. However:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The number they're looking for is in the song title, and elsewhere in the lyrics.

Of the two tracks, the one they're looking for...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...actually has the number in question in the lyrics - not just the title.

I still think it's a little unsatisfactory though...

Overall, I thought this was a good idea for a puzzle, but the execution was marred slightly by
(1) a couple of the answers being ambiguous, and
(2) as Rand0m says above, the final answer is a little too easy to guess.
