Perplex City Academy
Subsidiary Study Course Overviews: 12a Earth Studies
Module One: History
Course Coordinator: Ida Ludlow

Earth history is a fascinaring subject - rich and complex. Rarely does a year go by without a major war, natural disaster, political scandal or sporting event. There is truly never a dull moment in Earth history.

History has been occurring on Earth for just over 2,000 years. The period before that marked BC - is known as Pre-history or When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth.

The four main periods of Earth history studied at the Academy are:

Ancient - in which the great Earth civilisations were founded
Miserable - in which everybody was horribly repressed except kings
Modern - in which everything of significance was invented
Post-Modern - in which television and videogames are considered of cultural significance

[i]Sample exam question:
Discuss some of the key ways in which Earth history has learnt from its mistakes.
