Sharpen your mind

For millions of years, the human race has evolved - physically and mentally. Each generation has seen an incremental advancement in our abilities, slowly shaping mankind as we know it.

Now, the human race has accelerated.

Cognivia's research has given our species the chance to control evolution, increasing cogitive performance by hundreds of generations in a single leap.

Products such as ceretin, mnemosyne, cardinal and expedin have helped modern society to conceive and create countless new inventions, new theoris and new equations, taking the human race to unimagined heights.

Find out how you can join the new evolution. Visit www.cognivia.com.

Note there appear to be two errors in either the card or the transcription, in the names of the drugs. corrected in this translation.

Well, I found the Ceretin correction (what can I say, I was translating it as I was typing), but where is the other mistake meant to be so I can check if it's me or the card.

For the Cognivia ad,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I worked out the letter substitutions but don't really see a pattern, is there something Imissed or is this just a basic letter substitution puzzle?

Strange marking?

I'm not sure of the etiquette here, so apologies in advance if this should have been posted as a Meta.

I was wondering if anyone else had noticed a rectangular marking on the reverse of this card. I initially discounted it as a manufacturing flaw, but I've now seen it on 3 different copies of #006 (and no other card).
It's a little smaller than 1cm x 0.5cm, and situated about 1cm above the last word on the first line. At first I thought it was UV, although DarkHuman has posted elsewhere that there are no UV markings on the Wave 1 Reds-through-Purples. From closer investigation, it looks more like an indention, but the surface does seem to be shinier than the rest of the card.

Flaw or Meta puzzle: Any ideas?

Eugenes Lair: I have it on one of three copies, but the mark is smaller than 1 cm x 0.5 cm (just looks like an inkspot to me). I'm going with printing flaw. It might be my imagination, but the shading up around there seems slightly darker on the card with the mark than the two that don't have a mark.

I looked at this more closely last night and I agree, I'm now thinking production flaw too. What I thought might be ink treatment is almost certainly just caused by rubbing or mild scratching of the card's surface. All this leaves is a couple of score marks at the top and bottom of the rectangle. I've seen these markings on a number of cards (and had it reported by other forum members), but the fact that it's not on every copy should rule out the possibility of it being deliberate.

Just a quick clue first (although anyone needing a clue obviously doesn't go through the basic puzzle solving routines):

Yeah - its on mine as well but it reminds me of a mark you get when something has been through a press or something with those kinda little wheels...

I thought that too, although it made me wonder why I hadn't seen it before on other cards if it was just a side-effect of the manufacturing process.
Mind you, all the copies of #068 - Inversions that I've seen have a "score" mark on the front which is almost certainly a production flaw, but I haven't seen it on any other card either...

Checked it out under a black light. Nothing popped out at me, but there was some crap on the card that could only be seen under the black light (crushed up Ceretin samples?), but I'm guessing that it's not intentional.

EDIT: Also, on the front of the card, I can see what looks like Morse Code: ·-· (R) next to Albion and ·· (I) next to Arsyle
