Update from the Giantology blog writer!

For those who don't remember Giantology and the Colossus viral / ARG, here is the link to the original thread.

The writer of the Giantology blog replied to me today! Here was a recent email I sent to him:

subject Greetings - How have your trips been?

Hello,

You may not remember me, but I was the one who was in email contact
with Arkaday Simkin those many months back.

I haven't seen an update from your blog, or heard anything regarding
Arkaday Simkin for a long time, and wanted to see if you were still
checking email?

If so, I would love to get a reply from you regarding your current
status and what is going on in your search for all things giant.

Max Steele

Max,

Just wanted to finally reply to one of your emails. This is out of game. Game's over obviously. I just canceled the blog.

We had a load of fun creating Giantology, and you and the folks at Unfiction Forums were an integral part of our storytelling and the enjoyment we got out of it. Tracking your board among many many others was a daily part of our work in developing and sustaining our little creative project. You guys were super smart and picked up on things fast, and not only that, had us scrambling more than a couple times to correct minor mistakes on our part, or revise the storyline when you raised interesting questions. 90% of Giantology was very carefully planned and executed exactly as we foresaw, but there was about 10% improvisation, and Unfiction was a big part of that.

Anyway, just thought I owed you a quick thank you. The sites are all down now, but the videos can still be found on YouTube and other video sites.

Cheers and good luck,
Eric Belson

I have a picture of the entire team that worked on it. Once I get it to a place I can point to, I'll post the image.

Yay for the reply! I enjoyed this one, and it was a nice viral for the 'Shadow of the Colossus' game.

How fun! Thanks for posting that (and for keeping up with it). And *wave* to the writers, should you be lurking. Smile

I got a response to the most recent post of my now-defunct viral/ARG blog which was to the same affect. It's strange that they closed it after so long, considering that Shadow of the Colossus came out at least over a year ago.
