I'm stricken that no one recognizes my pre-teen heartthrob (not a clue). I'll give you another image tonight, with another "obscure" (at the time) teen actor.

I've never seen this particular movie, but now i want to, if only to find out what he's holding to his ear. (I have a third frame ready, just in case.)

Sorry, no help. I 'almost' recognize your crush, but can't remember a name. And nobody in the second one looks familiar.

you'll kick yourself (not a clue) when you find out who the guy in the middle is. I'll give the others a chance to see it before I give you a hint to his name.

my middle man was born 8 years after Steve McQueen, and would have been 30-31 in this movie -- playing a college kid, i assume, to my heartthrob's teenager, born ten years later than him (and out of his teens by then).

Ok, I'm guessing the middle guy is Jon Voight, and by searching and deducing, I'm going to guess "Out of It."

And now you know my pre-teen crush was on Barry Gordon. What can I say? That earlier movie of his was--- naw, maybe i'll find a screen shot one day after all.
