Hmmm, I don't think you should ask them if their real. They might back off.

make sure you explain the arg community in the right way. So they understand our interest.

It will be a tough interview. It's hard to think of questions to ask...

Ok, I have enough money to play thier game, but I wouldnt even consider it without first reviewing thier contract, privacy information and any other legal info outlining the scope and limit of what they can or will do. If they dont have any, then my lawyer would draft something that hands me everything they own if they dont deliver. That being standard opperating procedure for people with the money to spare, they will have contracts of thier own.

So, tell them that you represent individuals that may be interested in purchasing thier services and would like to review thier regulations, contracts, terms etc.

How is it paid for? (up front, after the fact?)
What are the guarantees that a sevice will be delivered?
What level of insurance do they carry?

Stuff like that.

Woah.

You're actually coughing up 50,000 bucks for this stuff? I respect you.
Where is this "movie"? And ask them about that log in thing on club games page, Dino.

I'm 100% sure i saw on the website their office was in Paris a long time ago ... they took it off the web since it became a flash version i guess...
If it's not in Paris it must be in Bruxelles, anyway im livin in Paris and i'd be glad to pay a visit if someone catches the adress.
Another thing is the name on the replies .. it's typicaly french...but could be from belgium tho ...Also I don't think they 're gonna tell you everything about it by emails so if someone manages to get an interview i'll go for sure and i'll investigate for us if it's in Europe.
The only answer i got from them is the password for the club games section ... i lost the email but i remember it was kinda useless .... not much details in the different scenarios.
Other possibility : it's a a couple of russian students crackin their asses up on us at this exact moment. Smile
Keep the post alive guys.

I very much doubt Ethernell has got enough money to play their games.

Mister Gamer isn't a traditional ARG. It's not some geeky thing where you're following clues on the internet and in newspapers. It's more of an experience company.

But it is certainly real. And hideously expensive. In the region of 100,000 euros for a decent "game".

I.e. it's almost exactly like the concept in the movie The Game which was one of the primary inspirations for the Most Traditional ARG Evar, the Beast.

So how is it not a traditional ARG again?

For the reasons I described. It's more of an experience company than an ARG. They'll allow you to live a lifestyle. Only a small proportion of their offering is actually about playing a game.

I got the info pack off them a couple of years ago, which is how I know.
