I'm a bit worried about that - I'll be disappointed if this is either not a real ARG or if he turns out to be a "bad" pm. But it's worth a try, I wrote a nice long winded email (I seem to have a habit of long windedness!) detailing my interest and will post if I get a response. This is technically my 3rd "game" email including "decapitant" and I haven't had any interaction so far... Somewhat disappointing.
I think it's time to finally give Enoch a try - it looks very intersting, seems fast paced, and has nice bite sized puzzles to play with.

Don't worry, everyone has to start somewhere!
I think he's a dedicated PM if nothing else. I hope it takes off, i can tell he's put a lot of work in to it.

Finally! A response from Jack Just got this now, took about 2 days. No obvious code, just a simple response inviting a reply so I'll email back and forth for a while until I get a lead in, and access to the "fan group" forum.

Hello Adrian,
Thank you for your email. Please don't feel invasive emailing me.
You have a very wide knowledge of all things esoteric. I like to
connect to other like minded individuals. Yes, I am aware of Coum
Transmissions and Genesis P-Orridge, while a teen in London in the
early 80's I caught several T.G. performances, as well as early PTV
with Sleazy and John Balance. They were very interesting times
indeed. It seems like another time and place.
Yes, the idea of a 'fan club' is a bit bizarre given my circumstances,
but Anne is a very nice and like minded soul. I will pass on your
email. I know she's busy 'working for the man'. She's been helping
out as much as she can.
There are days when I feel like my accident, etc is a performance art
piece. It's all a bit much! I just want to find out what happened to
my 3 missing days and who is behind my accident.
Glad to hear that such an intelligent person as yourself is on myspace
along with Jello Biafra, Sleazy, GP-O, REsearch Publications, etc.
It makes me feel very happy!
Your email name - earlyworm - is it in reference to GP-O's 1968 LP -
'The Early Worm ...' by any chance?
Once again many thanks,
Jack

Down the rabbit hole? or is this completely for performance sake? Finally got into the "Fan" group which can be located at:
http://groups.myspace.com/headpoke
ETA: Forgot to add - There's a new video up called "Proof" - which goes further to demonstrate he may be having mental issues, or may be part of a larger conspiracy. Right now everything is leaning toward psychosis of some sort...

Here's a link to the group; http://groups.myspace.com/headpoke. It's not really a 'fan site' per say, more of a place to help Jack with his accident investigation.
Thanks
- Anne
Based on the group members (everyone seems to be on everyone elses friends page) I'm pretty sure it's ingame, although one member did ask "Do you think 3 Days Dead copied lonelygirl15?" which got the response:
Quote:
3 Days Dead copying lonelygirl15? Are you stupid? Look at the date of the blog posts - June was the first posting, he's NOT copying lonelygirl.
Unfortunately, very little interaction (about 20 posts over 3 months), no maps or leads or extra pictures... I'll keep in touch with Jack and try interacting with the group a bit.

Time marches on... New video and blog entry from Jack:
http://3daysdead.blogspot.com/
This one is another hidden camera at the doc's office. Everything seems to suggest either Jack is having blackouts (my guess), or there is a conspiracy involving the local police and his therapist.
Email with Jack is about as far from "ingame" as possible, there is no difference between attempting to get more clues or simply emailing a stranger out of concern for his situation.
This reminds me slightly of that bizarre "I am the spoon" website with the soul binding and Neo (yikes!) - this one, however, is at the very least interesting and still seems to be a potential... er, a potential "something"...

Thanks for the update!
I know what you mean about contact with Jake. I like to feel like I'm being lead SOMEwhere. He's playing his part almost too well, heh. It's just the fact that he is relying on us to do the work/research for him that reveals it's a game of sorts. It's totally strange. I'm still interested in it, just find it tough to contribute.

Yet Another Movie A face outside the window pane Jack has posted a new blog and video at http://3daysdead.blogspot.com
Read the blog first - it fills in the gaps of the movie. Also, the forums have kicked into full force over the past few days at http://groups.myspace.com/headpoke
It seems things may be coming to a conclusion as the 23rd approach3s (the one year anniversary of the crash).

Headpoke The Myspace forum is odd. I can't tell if these people are in game or if they have just been overtaken by the fun of ARGs. Everyone on there has started immitating the videos in their photos. Lots of people staring out from the screen at me with partialy darkened or distorted faces.

Lol, that's the fun part - I can't tell what is/isn't real for the life of me in this one.

I know what you mean! A lot of me thinks they're in-game, personally. But then again, I'm naturally paranoid :p

Whoever the PMs are, they are pretty good at making a believeable looking myspace account for an in-game character. That is, of course, if they are actually in-game. This is a skill that quite a few small time PMs just can't seem to master.
If all in-game myspace accounts looked like these I wouldn't mind them being used so much.

Latest Updates The latest video is from a myspace group user named Keren, basically offering Jack assistance in a "virtual driving" anxiety-disorder treatment program. http://3daysdead.blogspot.com
Just to keep things in order, here's what has happened since Dec. 13th:
Dec 17th - Headpoke group member "fusebreaker" uploads a video of the Trabuco Canyon area - http://tinyurl.com/y4kra6
Dec 19th - "Damaged Goods" video on blogspot: rant and video about car dealers and vehicle service departments.
Dec 22nd - Everyone in the Headpoke group sends a supportive message to Jack's MySpace page to wish him well on the 1 year anniversary of the accident - http://www.myspace.com/3daysdead
Dec 23rd - Jack updates his blog with a new video thanking the Headpoke group for it's support, and showing a bit more optimism towards getting back on his feet and solving the mystery once and for all.

Conspiracy Theories Yet another update... Latest video from Jack:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogw2OYRKVKw
This one focuses on the hundreds of emails Jack has recently received regarding conspiracy theories, possible "answers", etc etc - the first thing I thought of was the influx of UF'ers due to Vanishing Point, although it could just be another planned plot device...
Previously Jack was emailed a video from one of the HeadPoke group members (Keren) and subsequently went out to meet her - which was, as always, video taped and posted on his blogspot page.
I'm VERY close to emailing jack and blatantly pulling back the curtain just out of curiosity. I wouldn't go so far as to link to Unfiction, but just a simple "Ok, I give up, what's the story?" sort of message...

Everyday WAS exactly the same. then I saw another tiny little dot... damn dots... Just thought I'd bump this up for you newer folks who might not have seen it, very interesting - but non-argish - video experiment.
I decided out of boredom to stir up the ingame fan group and seem to have suceeded, if anyone wants to help stir things up feel free to give it a try!
Main links:
http://3daysdead.blogspot.com
http://groups.myspace.com/headpoke (about 80% ingame)
http://youtube.com/3daysdead
Main contact: 3daysdeadSPLAT gmail.com
To get into the fan group send a myspace to Anne:
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=89928338
My main goal now is to try to stir up the group and start to get people moving, and possibly start affecting the development of Jack's personal and "fan submitted" videos.
Warning: This isn't a quick-fix puzzle solver, it's very interesting but you won't find a conclusion any time soon
