Deus City Inactivity
speculation on what's going on...

Umm.... aside from the letter that was sent out....

Has anyone else noticed a steep dropoff in activity? the message board hasn't been posted, and i'm not getting any messages. No emails have been coming my way lately either.

This is purely OOG, but i think they're taking a break Smile

Ironically, I was just about to post the answer to this--I wrote Chris asking about the dropoff in News posts and message replies (he's been the only one actively replying to me over the last week or so) and received the following response.

Quote:
I think there are changes coming related to the New Deal speech that Foo gave recently. As for communication problems I'm not sure. I haven't seen anything that would cause such a thing. I do know they have been scrambling to try to get some new parts of the city's intranet on to the interface, I think they are behind schedule. I'm certain Foo will probably be sending some workers to re-education after this one!

Chris

So whatever changes they're making are taking longer than expected--this seemed a fairly straightforward yet in-game way of saying "this stuff's hard, be patient".

(by the way, morelaak--can you edit the title of this to something slightly more descriptive?)

Could that be why I haven't received any word from my handler yet? I just signed up two or three days ago and left a message but haven't heard anything yet. I figured it had to do with it being the weekend or something but I wasn't sure. This is my first arg experience, so I haven't figured out quite yet what to expect. On that note, Hello everyone.

Prince asked me to do something about a week ago, I responded, but haven't got a response. I was panicking for a bit, but after no response to a follow up, and this thread, I feel a lot better. Smile Hopefully this downtime means a lot more uptime soon!

New news item up, so hopefully it means things are moving forward again.

(Talks about immigration quotas being raised.)
