That password is quite curious. Usually, the passwords have some relevence to the site. Soo, since Google is so bloody useful, I give you this. Seems to be a trend for the hits.

http://uqm.stack.nl/wiki/Fwiffo

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spathi

I've never played this game. I have no clue what it could possibly be about and I haven't figured out the relevance quite yet.

I was originally thinking that the password was some kind of accronym. But if this is the case and this is Power's desktop...then he's got one heck of a power trip. Or he's a coward.

They mention something in the Wiki about "backwards language skills and the misprounciation of names". Fwiffo is the only one in the game to pronounce Human correctly...the rest of the species pronounces it Hunam.

If there are any Zelda fans here did you notice that the first symbol that has the buildng maps is the exact same shape as the triforce, I wonder if it really means something

Combine that symbol with the whole Fwiffo thing...

Whoever this person is...are they a gamer? RPG's? Play W.O.W.? Maybe a bit of Everquest. I don't know. You can customize your desktop for buttons and icons. Perhaps that's what this is.

*EDIT* Triforce: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triforce

The symbol next to the ! icon looks like a radioactive symbol. Didn't they use that in Half-Life? The symbol next to the Triforce looking one reminds me of a radioactive symbol. Haven't found any game relevance as of yet. The middle one...I don't know. Some kind of six-pointed star? Googled it and came up with the Kohga Ninja star. It can be a six pointed throwing star that is offset. One small triangle, one largerSeems a logical choice since the others are revolving around weapons and games (from my p.o.v. but I'm still very new to this). As for a game reference, I haven't found one yet. I'm not a big video game person.

Everything in the symbols is in threes. Three dark triangles on the first, the second plus 3 dots. Three dots on the third, three on the fourth. And the fifth is stil the same.

Could also be the Sierpinski Triangle...

I was wondering if that had changed. I could have sworn that it had said 52 before. Thought I was crazy.

Another thought... one of the first early Sector 7 emails had them trying to pose as a computer game studio. Again we get back to the game references...

The count-up traces back to Feb 2, 6:47pm, by the swf source.

So, what happened on Feb 2, at 6:47pm?

Doesn't look like the international symbol for radiation, but it is the same logo that Delta Machinery uses. I should know, I work for a distributor of Delta products.

Sorry, off topic...

I got help from some friends and they said that fwiffo was part of a game called Star Control. Also i read on the wiki page for the game that ACTIVISION are supposedly going to try and release a squeal. Also it mentions that STEVEN SPIELBERG is a fan of the game, jokingly though. Why are there quite a few video game references in this

So, taking the whole video games trend into account, let's have a look at some games that were released this year. I don't know how far back these guys might be playing but it makes sense that this stuff is recent.

GAMES RELEASED ON 2 FEB 07
Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst
Crystal Quest
Seven Wonders of the Ancient World *relevant for Seven? and it's a puzzle game*
Earache Extreme Metal Racing

I don't even know how many...

...*slaps forehead* Groundhogs Day. February 2 is Groundhogs Day. The whole bit of more winter.

...as for what that could mean for this? I don't know. But it is something significant for the date. I've not found anything particular with the date and the time though other than forum posts.

I've played Star Control. But it's been YEARS ago. The reason for the video game references is because of the PDF document found at S7.org referring to the agreement between S7 and Takara to create a TF game. Among other things. And the whole thing where S7 is trying to play itself off as being a game developer, according to an old email from one of the s7 addresses.

That would take a minute to find. But I'm curious as to the choice of dates?

The Takara PDF memo on the site is dated that way.

I haven't found any reference for released games in 83. However, there was a dispute between Hasbro, Takara and Sparkle toys in 83-84 over copyrights in relation to Transformers. Specifically Twin Twist and Topspin.

http://www.law.cornell.edu/copyright/cases/780_F2d_189.htm

Also, in 83, Takara and Hasbro came to the agreement to essentially "share" the copyright for the toys.

Again, I'm at work and a lot of the sites are blocked. It's even blocking Google now if you use the word "game" in the search.
