WWEdeadman - 17 is a real Censored

. Like seriously, I would say that it was the second hardest level in the entire game for me (and you'll be really "lucky" once you reach 42...)

Anyway, here's a hint:

Thanks....I went to their forum and asked for them to clarify...they suggested I go to the other level 21 thread (only there's 5 l21 threads! heheh) but I finally got a clarification that the OLD L21 was referencing the Ralph quote, but this has been changed, and the NEW clue is about the dancing lights. If you have helpful hint for the lights at night I will be your bestest friend in the whole world! I tried just about everything celestial I could think of, and then moved to things LED or marquee related since some of them suggested the answer relates to what surrounds billboards at night...but it's got me perplexed and I know I'm overthinking it but after this much convoluted brain twisting it's next to unpossible to revert to simple mode! Wink

Maybe a better hint! Or maybe a different hint from another angle?

As for L17, that one was a pure bitch. Here's what people kept stumbling over due to the way it's worded: Oh and DON'T read this if you want to keep working with it and figure it out. I mean it...once you see the process, the whole thing clears up how to solve it, but in the "how" comes the answer itself. So fair warning.

In case you just prefer a different helpful hint, here's this instead: there's an old, but really intriguing card trick where you turn over cards in dummy piles to the count of ten, only you begin with the number of the card. ie turning over a 5, you'd count up each card as 6, 7, 8, 9 and stop with 10, face cards are also 10. In reality there are only 6 cards in the stack. Continue this way until all cards are in stacks, turn them face down, turn around and ask subject to select 3 stacks with 5 or more cards in them, collect the remainder and hand them back. From there you rearrange the face down stacks (ah la shell game) until subject says stop.

Next you begin counting off the remainder of the cards, but when you reach 19, you begin counting again from 1. (silently) That sum is the total of the top cards of each stack. Knowing this, you ask subject to pick a stack. You turn over the top card. Repeat. Turn over next card. Meanwhile, you know the sum of the remaining cards past 19, so you add the number printed on the face of those two cards and subtract it from the number you counted. That remainder will be the number printed on the 3rd card. Announce that and flip the card over.

Say, for example you count off 19 of the remaining cards, then start over at 1 (formerly 20), and end at 12. Subject turns over a 6. Then subject turns over a 5. On the 3rd one, you announce this card is an Ace. Sure enough...

I've been intrigued by this trick for years....how does the number printed on the card have anything to do with the quantity of cards counted off?

That is the mystery behind Level 17!
