OOH! I like the 'unfortunate accident' bit. So could the party planner be the guy killed in the alley?!

I agree. Sounds like our boy John Q. Smith was the party planner.

I am guessing Redford is now an "uninvited guest", along with possibly all of us that are working on this. I told ya...someone is gonna get whacked by the Pinelli Family!
I did have to giggle at the whole "if we're busy, give the Gotti Family a call" thing. Laughing

And considering he's creeped out as it is, how much of this should we share with Redford?

Good question, seeing as how he already is a bit paranoid. We really should tell him, though. If nothing else, for his safety...

I say don't give too many details, but he should at least know that it's connected and a possible lead.

The "Gotti family" may be a reference to the mobster John Gotti, although his family was called the Gambino family.

If anyone needs anything investigated in Chicago (although y'all are light years ahead of me here), I'm close enough that I could take a trip in.

Also, 206 is a Washington state area code.

Ok...here is a recording of the message you get when you call the phone number from the restaurant's web page. Hopefully somebody can translate it. Sorry if it's not the best quality. Smile

I have an Italian friend who listened to the message. He was not able to make out very much because the person on the message is not a native Italian speaker -- therefore, the Italian is poor. He said that there is some message for the listener at first, which he cannot make out, and then it says for the caller to leave a message.

The beginning of the message says something like: "Hello. My name is Mama. If your name is Smith, .... .... .... Leave a message at the end of the new voice." I don't know about the middle part.

That's definitely helpful, though I think if we're going to pull anything else useful out of that file, we need to do some audio reconstructive surgery. Anyone have editing programs to pretty it up? Smile

I know, it's not the best quality. I had to use a digital recorder held up near the phone. Embarassed
Does anyone have a nifty phone/answering machine that you can record a conversation on? Maybe it would sound better if someone did that?
I think the middle part must say something like "we're in San Francisco right now" or "we're on our way to San Francisco". Either way, I don't think we're going to get any tangible clues off of this that we can use (i.e. a web site address).
So where does that leave us now? With the Arabic message, the key card, and the restaurant web page? Are we missing something?

I went to the conspiracy website, looked for recent changes, and found a page about the Pinelli family. The edits were done by "MarianaMcNabb."
Here's a link to the page:

There are some letters in bold face.
As far as I can tell, they spell:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
tuesday sare free zoom share

Someone should double check, though.
OOG: Anyone else concerned about a possible game jacking?

And here's my thought about that riddle:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Venice has a festival called carnivale.

What are you guys thinking?
