Are you looking for a ARG?
I am!

I was wondering if anybody else was looking for a NEW ARG and hasn't found anything that caught your eyes. I have been trying to find an ARG for a few weeks now and my search is coming up dry. The only ARG that looks like it could have potential is "Hacksaw". But we are not even really sure if it is going to pan out.

It kinda seems like we hit a small dryspell after 15 quality games ran over the last 3-4 months. I have been lurking a lot of the new stuff in news and rumors. It seems we have a handful of pages on each thread that seem to go nowhere (at the moment). I was hoping I wasn't the only one feeling this way or mabe I missed a good up and coming game. I figured I would start a thread for some possible discussion of current New ARGs. If someone has found something worth following please let me know. I am suffering from ARG withdraws!

Thanks in advance.

15 quality games? Really? Wow. I can only think of maybe 5-6. But we each have our own perspective.

I've always thought that one can't really find an ARG, it sorta has to find you. One falls into a rabbithole - often by accident.

World Without Oil will be starting soon but there is plenty of pre-game stuff going on now in the set up.

Day 21 is another that is advertising it's build-up.

Keep an eye on ARGN.com - many times a new game will be noticed by them. Some PMs even leak the rabbitholes to the editorial staff.

This unforunately-named ARG just started. Like, yesterday. XD

It looks to be a small Grassroots game, but the writing and characterization (at least at this point; we only have a blog with a small backlog of posts so far) are, IMO, very well done. If you want to catch one right as it starts, that might be something to look into.

Although I haven't had time to check it out at all (which frustrates me to no end), I hear from numerous people that Year Zero is one of the most exciting, polished and intriguing things happening for a long time...

I feel almost bad that the game gets so little attention from the Unfiction crowd, although debate is still up on wether or not it actually is an ARG. It does get lots of attention on Echoing the Sound, which is probably the right place for it to unfold anyway.

If you still want to try to tag along, read Brian's excellent trail.

I'm personally lurking for the most part (as usual), but waiting and getting pumped for World Without Oil (events for which are happening even now, a month before launch)...
Also, there seems to be a growing ARG for the Transformers movie called Sector Seven (long thread, but very linear timeline so far), which is fairly slow moving, but intriguing none-the-less. Sector Seven was the company hired to provide entertainment of the Transformers variety (figurines, toys, tv shows/movies, etc) since the 80's, but we're finding out that they're actually covering up the real truth, including, supposedly, that the movie isn't just a movie (duh duh duh)... but the movie comes out in July, so there's lots of time and room for a very very nice arg..hopefully.

The args I'm playing seem to be moving really slowley right now.
I dont think their gripping people fully for some reason.
I looked into year zero and tried to get into it, but got put off when everyone got serious about politics and music as an art form.
Thats when I remembered I dont like politics, NIN or political statements xD Laughing
But Im keeping a beady eye on it!

I tell you what though, I would sell my liver on ebay for a jolly god zombie arg right now.
