The theory I floated a bit last night in chat (probably should have posted) was:

#1. of course if their name is spelled wrong, then they won't die
#2. name spelled right - they die the way they're supposed to

kicker is

#3. If the name is a psuedonym - the note goes wacky and they don't die the way that's been written.

Buddy Holly and Anna N. Smith were the only two psuedonyms in the list - the only two to be spelled right and not die the way it was designed.

Buddy Holly = Charles Hardin Holley
Anna N Smith = Vickie Lynn Marshall or Vickie Lynn Hogan

Now I assumed (yeah I know what assuming does) that the flaws in the notebook would be just that (above) and perhaps somehow we've got to feed this flaw into the system somehow - but dunno how or anything.

Threevenge - actually that's very good - that would mean that we've determined the login - we've just got to find the password

The whole phrase "Them Earth Meteors" seemed odd to me. I kept on thinking "The Earth Meteors" instead of "Them". Plus, the gigantic M on the image next to "Take this with you" and the huge M in the center of the page made me decide to try it.

Don't know if this has already been mentioned somewhere else, but the "Death Note" sheet is a modified version of a popular manga/movie/anime in Japan called "Death Note"...the rules given are similar but not exactly the same.

The biggest difference I can see is the timing of the rules: .666 seconds versus 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

This seems to be parodying that series, as one of the characters goes only by the letter "L" in transmissions.

Oh, and the bottom quote is from Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged"
