ok this site just appeared on the bungie forums, it was found due to an email to a person who was involved with the cortana letters, and includes all of the letters and a new one. http://www.freewebs.com/cortanahome/index.htm
the site has a number of updates talking about the end of the world and rampant AIs. Whether its bungie related is still up for debate, because honestly freewebs? I havent finished reading through the forums yet, and im looking for news on w/e bungie did yesterday for april fools

The fact that the letters refer to the acronym "ARG", it makes me believe this isn't 'official' but it could be..I'd expect much better personally

i agree with you and thought that was wierd at first to, but so far whether its being done by bungie or not it has started a puzzle, and involves character interaction in a world outside of real life dealing with AI's and such. Who knows its probably one big april fools joke

There has been an update at Bungie now. There are many images that contain honeycomb type texturing.

This one, appears to have some sort of a symbol behind the image. Might just be the UNSC symbol.


And then there's this.. Fusion has a black background color, highlighting the word..


Any thoughts on why?

Edit: Oh, Frankie also mentioned the Hexagonal shapes behind the images.

I noticed a couple of spelling errors in this post,
"pice" is missing an "e" , and "subtlelty" has an extra "l".
This may be nothing as I'm not sure how well they proof read these before posting.

The fusion.wav for some reason immediately reminded me of the double helix structure of DNA.

Delusional, the word "fusion" is highlighted in black in the first paragraph underneath the video of the fusion cores. I haven't been able to uncover the faintest clue as to why, though.

I think if they were launching an ARG, it would be obvious - they'd want people to get involved. Whether they do it from their own site, or attempt to introduce it in a fairly neutral way, who knows... but I doubt this is to do with a Halo 3 arg.

This is frustrating. It would be awesome if they just came out and said they aren't doing an ARG. I don't know if they have, but the fact that people are speculating on this makes me think they haven't . I think that is just a clue to some information they'll be releasing about the game, or something. I don't know what to do to "figure it out," so I guess we'll just have to wait until someone does or they release more information.

Well the Hype for Halo 3 is already at an all time high. I doubt anything like this would really help. Could be fun to do while we wait for it's release though. Ya know, to keep people busy so they don't go crazy.
