I'm just trying to put some things together on my lunch break.

Why would he send ME a Msg with the same clue? He knew I was already subscribed to his YouTube.

Guys, the crypted letter used "GHORGBZPRFRNELBHGUVEGRRAQ" as the Key to solve it, Remember? And that's when we found the YT. But what's with this picture? And now I know what "Congratulationstoday isyourday" meant. Doh.

The clue with the picture is in the tags. The rest of it will probably come into play later.

I think he just went through every account on the FindEric forum, dug up some dirt, and sent. I don't think it was as personal as he made it seem.

Aaand, I guess I'm not the only one to not figure out anything with the king of diamonds clue yet?

EDIT: Tried Vigenere with the keys: king, diamond, diamonds, king-diamonds, all of that. (Used on the tags.) Nothing yet. Still searching.

I've gotten as far as:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"The Die Has Been Cast"

I don't know if that's all. I just wonder if we're missing something on Myspace. He keeps pulling information off our sites.

The Die Has Been Cast
Quote:

Meaning

An irrevocable choice has been made.

Origin

This expression has nothing to do with the modern-day process of die-casting of metal - the die here is the singular of dice. Julius Caesar is supposed to have spoken this phrase when crossing the Rubicon. Such stories are difficult to verify at this long remove and, of course, Caesar wouldn't have uttered the expression in English. The earliest English version of the phrase don't refer back to Roman history and so we have to take the above story with a pinch of salt

How did you get that? And I ran an anagram search on that phrase and I'm not getting anything too interesting yet.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
One that kind of makes sense: A BEACH ENDS THE TIES

I rot-13'd "nyrn vnpgn rfg". It translates out to "alea iacta est"...which is Latin for "The die has been cast"

Ah, silly me, missing like half the posts. But anyway. The link between Tom D. Cesear and Julius Caesar are obvious (except for the spelling, but that's just obviously because he wanted it to be an anagram). But then again, a saying's just a saying. Does he mean we've made an irrevocable choice, or are we still not looking deep enough?

Was going out of our way to get Michael to trust us actually a bad thing in the long run?

Always late to the party

I just recieved my PM from TDC also. A little hit and miss.

Quote:
Hello busboy,

I already know more about you than you think.

I know your real name is Tony and you're 34. I know you're a graphic design major from Texas with a wolf tatoo. I know you still like playing with toys. That's just the start.

You, on the otherhand, know nothing about me. Now I'm giving you the chance to change that:

GHORGBZPRFRNELBHGUVEGRRAQ

This code is very powerful. Be VERY careful who you show it to. This code is like a master key - it can unlock many doors for you, but you have to find them first.

Here is the first door:

The rest is up to you. If you do well, we'll talk again.

TDC
I just turned 31, not 34, but the rest is close enough. But I don't have a myspace set up with this name. He may have found my Flickr and yahoo 360 sites. I have to do a show tonight, but I'll post up my video later tonight.

I think dealing with Michael was a mistake from the beginning. Tom said, "Michaels doesn't say things, because he can't." That stupid line pops up anytime I try to think about Michael and it creeps me about.

I also think we solved the last letter too quickly. And that's why we aren't piecing the puzzles together correctly. We kind of have some of the pieces turned over, so to speak.
