UPDATE: Thanks to Craig (aka kraed) and rose, we have added the missing Riemann to the PXC full set card auction. That's right, this is a complete set of unscratched Season 1 cards from #001 through #256, including special gold cards #257 and #P01! Holy moley! -SpaceBass

Long ago, in a time not much removed from this one, we casually mentioned how you can help Unfiction stay afloat and remain available for all ARG players, PMs, academics, and lovers to enjoy.

Since that original announcement, you have been exceptionally generous in your donations, as evidenced by our extensive list of lovely contributors. We are also happy to announce that we have not one, but TWO, happy shiny online retail stores offering unfiction merchandise for you to purchase and, at the same time, help uF. (Because though you may play ARGs naked in your home, you can't really go to events and not be clothed. Society frowns on that for some bizarre reason.)

We are now excited to announce the uF Auction of Fantastic ARG Swag! We have spent months digging through our closets for that Chasing the Wish beer stein, the infamous RedKore trip cards, and our Last Call Poker chips. Dropping to our knees and crawling before ARG Development teams and creators, we have managed to collect extra special bonus items that can't be found elsewhere. We have, in essence, scoured the globe for the best crap the ARG genre has to offer. And we are proud to offer that awesome pile of crap to you: The Few, The Proud, The Faithful - The Players of ARG.

At times, we will be putting these treasures on the eBay auction block, with all proceeds benefiting the Unfiction donation fund, for variable windows at erratic intervals, and for the foreseeable future because we're off our Stratera. Each item will be up for your rabid, ARGy bidding for one week, with the highest ARGidder taking home the prize and able to gloat that he not you now owns the world's most awesome autographed photograph to ever grace our nerd-vironment.

To kick off this series of uF Auctions of Fantastic ARG SWAG! We are more than pleased to offer a timeless collection of golden goodies:

A (MOSTLY) FULL SET OF PERPLEX CITY CARDS

This auction item has been graciously donated by the jolly good fellows from Mind Candy, along with the selfless donation of the out-of-print Relativity by Aliendial and the Riemann from Craig. This (mostly) full set of cards includes:

  • Relativity
  • Riemann
  • P01
  • #257 Gold
  • The remaining 254 redorangeyellowgreenbluepurpleblackandallbutonesilver cards
  • A handy card folder (fancy!)


Yes, that's right! The only thing missing from this complete PXC collection is Riemann (but heck, that's practically unsolvable anyway) and a lock of Guy Parson's floppy, floppy hair (he awoke before we could find the scissors. Next time, we'll have everything at the ready BEFORE we turn off the lights…).

That's right, kids! It's time to kick off the Spring Series of Unfiction Auctions to help support uF!

Our first auction this year is already up and it's a doozy! Kristen Rutherford from I Love Bees (and more recently, ARGFest SF) fame has provided us with a totally unique offer: autographed goodies PLUS a custom-recorded audio clip for use as an answering machine or voicemail greeting, or ringtone (assuming your cellphone can do that kind of thing).

 		Huh, I didn't know who Kristen Rutherford was when I lent her my pencil at ARGFestocon, or I might have asked for a scribble. Really though, I want a SpaceBass sig and a mug with a sketched portrait!
