John J. Coughlin has been a practitioner of the Occult Arts since the mid-1980's. In that time he has worked with several groups, although he primarily prefers to walk a solitary, eclectic path. No problem. So I guess your a fellow lurker in SA. There was a 6th video for ten minutes but Mike quickly deleted it. you can read more of our updates in the forum. What I'm working with now is that Mike is a lone gunman, and even though he has responded to Heyzeus it doesn't mean they are connected.
I've exchanged messages with Heyzeus, basically calling him out, but he remains true to character and responds with quips like "Only the anointed will rise up." and ""Laugh now but soon the tide will turn." so I'm not real sure what his deal is yet but he's probably someone with a lot of time on there hands and wants to be involved.
Right now I've figured out that you, Deus Ex Machinae, M, Cartoon picture Mike, Xankrys and maybe a few more are all Goons and are not in on it. We've worked out that "Mike" is someone who reads Something Awful based on people he's contacted and the timing of certain posts.
When did you first come across his web page? Was it on the 4th like the rest of us? Are you aware of any blog posts that he has deleted since then? I'm sure whoever is doing this doesn't plan on going big with it, mostly he's doing it to entertain us personally. For that I am very thankful he'd go through so much trouble just to keep me up at night wondering.
BTW he's letting us chose the name for the anonymous person who sends him the tapes. I'm hoping to name him Mr. Handy because that's all we see of him. Go to his blog dated 4-8 to vote.

I had a look at the Google satellite info for that address. It's definitely at an interection, but it's hard to tell for certain if it's the place in the video. What makes you think it is?

It is the only gas station in town. Kind of limits the options. If Mr. Grey really is Mike, and is sending himself theres videos, than they'd be from around his hometown, right? This mean one of three things. 1. Mike is lying. 2. Mr. Grey really is sending these videos from another town. or 3. The Puppet Master didn't think this one through and made a video from HIS hometown thus giving us the info we need to find out who the PM really is.

No matter what the case we have the clues and theres no turning back!

Edit: Great now I'm going to be up all night on Goggle looking at the entire state of Kansas from a satellite.

The picture has been looked at many times. I'm not sure if you've read my post's but the picture is Sideways. Turn it 90 degrees counter clockwise and It looks like a very badly drawn Ferengi from star trek wearing what looks like a royal dress worn by Queen Victoria. The strange swirls make sense if you realize the picture is in color. They appear to be rainbow colored "Thought waves" coming off the forehead and into space. I think it might be a drawn representation of the Otherworldly being that is controlling these people. But that's one mans guess.

The picture has been looked at many times. I'm not sure if you've read my post's

Very interesting, I thought that was a face but wasn't sure, especially with the big ears. They reminded me of the Super Monkey Ball monkey. Anyway, where did you post this? I tried to clarify the picture on the SA thread but didn't really get anwyhere with it.

Christ! That's him! Good work, maybe sending e-mails to his supposed real e-mail address might merit further clues. Who knows, maybe there's something hidden somewhere in one of the pages, frankly little would surprise me at this point.

That's the reason I'm not calling either. I'd love to be the first one to do it so I could brag how I was the first to beat the game but if it's not Mike's # than I'll feel like the biggest idiot ever. If it is him though I totally claim all credit for winning.

Edit: I wonder whatever happened to Robert and Josh. They'll have quite the surprise when they get back won't they?

I'm hoping it's actually Mike, otherwise the real Mike is going to get seriously freaked out. I guess we'll know soon enough. I wonder if SLoW actually had a conversation with the person at the other end of the line or just hung up after hearing a voice.

It works with the accent, because it gives the impression that you're unfamiliar with local phone etiquette, so they'll usually say who they are.

I'm not sure Mike was expecting us to go this far. We did and theres no changing that, but I still can't help thinking that this may be a lot closer than Mike thought we'd go.
