Just had a brief chat with Chris, and thought I'd share the love.

I just had a fairly long chat with Chris Brown (future). I'm providing an executive summary here which is still really long...if you want the full transcript, PM me or say "darn it, notgordian, post that sucker!"

ABOUT THE FOLIO CLUES ON THE INTERFACE
Chris doesn't know who's posting them, although he's worried it means the Brotherhood has someone with as much access as he does. An automated program randomly selects a news article that is then reviewed by someone at Defense-Corp. Foo then reviews that, and it's posted on our end (according to rumor). The changes are being made after review.

ABOUT HIS LOYALTIES
Chris believes that neither the Brotherhood nor Defense-Corp should be too powerful, and maintaining that balance is the only thing preventing war. He doesn't want the Brotherhood to have the folios because Adam keeps turning them into self-fulfilling prophecies. He'd rather a neutral party gets it.

ABOUT KETSUEKI
The only person he's been in contact with in the future was his handler (ADPrince) who downgraded him to green for being a "security risk". He's not associated with any existing factions, and Chris IS aware that there's resistance in the Red District.

ABOUT THE CORPORATE 8-ers
"A group of 8 students committed some terrorist acts. According to the official word they were all captured and executed. It wouldn't surprise me at all if one or more survived. "

ABOUT THE INTERFACE SHUTDOWN OF 2012
Chris believes that this was done by Foo and Defense-Corp. By 2009, information is being freely exchanged and the world government starts to meddle and argue about how the control of the system should be managed. Especially since corporations are benefiting more from the arrangement. People become too reliant on innovation from the future and stop actually doing stuff for themselves. Thus, it was a grab for power after the system served its use.

ABOUT THE SECOND FOLIO
Phil does have a daughter, and her parentage is a dangerous question to pursue, and people would be willing to kill to keep it a secret.

ALSO - People from the Red District are going to start chatting us up soon (even before the Red District itself goes live) and at least according to Chris, they shouldn't be trusted.

ABOUT THE HALTER YOUTH CENTER
It was a cross between an orphanage and a prison, where society's undesirables were kept. Rumors went around that strange "experiments" were done on the residents, and the fire was used as a cover for the research/work.

ABOUT THE MERCER FAMILY
Yes, Tara Mercer is indeed Phil's daughter. The dangerous questions are (according to Chris) "Does Tara know" and "are there others". Chris indicated that the mentions of Caligula et al are because he...gets around (to put it lightly).

As for Thomas, he's older than Tara but still the youngest senator--which doesn't say much, although we can now definitively say Foo is 58 and Brackin is 60. He's a philanthropist, and his hobby is "collecting things"--artifacts from the old world.

ABOUT WILL AND SLEWTH
Nothing definitive, but Chris did seem insistent that if Slewth was an ex-Corporate Eighter, that Will and Slewth were different people. That, and it would take a fairly large conspiracy for slewth to have been a member.

I also had a chat with Chris, unfortunately no where near as meaty as notgordian's, but ...

I told Chris that I had a suspicion that Will Forth and Slewth were possibly one in the same, and after a little initial confusion, which I believe was actually Chris making sure that i had actually based this on something as opposed to just having a stab in the dark, he said he believed my theory was possible.

To be honest, that was about the sum total of new information, that I was able to get out of him, but having had a peep at notgordian's chat, it seems that this theory morphed into his chat, as if it was then a known, and seemed to use this to more or less prove that Slewth was not a member of the C8'ers.

Just my interpretation, and like the tv show "Catchphrase", I'm just saying what I see!!!

So, Chris finally got back to me on the "Darlene" thing and why it matters. As a review, Darlene is Tara's mom. And supposedly that's information people would be willing to kill to possess.

Exchanged a few mails recently with Chris, I have suggested many theories and all seem to be wrong.

The first was subliminal messages (trigger phrases) enclosed in the newsfeeds, which I saw possibly being linked to the brainwashing experiments, as per the illuminati reading I had been doing.
====> Chris' searches came up with nothing.

The second was that all the murders attributed to the God Killer, didn't add up. My suggestion being that there was a lack of common Modus Operandi, this was kinda confirmed. (In chat but refers to victims - see later in post)
====> Chris believes that more murders have been attributed to the GK, than the GK actually committed. He specifically stated that the Mary Jansen killing just did not fit.

Third, was that two mysterious deaths, (Mary Jansen and Michael Kaiku), both had loose connections. Mary Jansen was hit by the public bus outside her appartments, which would have been the first "city controlled traffic accident since the system went online in 2018", as the Michael Kaiku accident was explained as a "limited programming" of the vehicles "self-drive" function.
The point I was trying to make here was that Transcorp Security may have capitalised on the Michael Kaiku accident, and "someone" may have accessed the city's AAG, to MAKE the Mary Jansen accident occur.
====> Chris has also dismissed this, and by implication that this is also a dead lead as, "I don't believe a list of Transcorp Security employees would help you even if it were possible. Know one knows how many people they employ but with all the secret programs, the front groups, the undercovers ... the number is probably in the hundreds of thousands.
" (which was in response to me asking for access footprints of the AAG).

Lastly, Chris thinks that we should be finding the commonalities in the victims, not the methodology of the murders. He has also stated that the relative importance of the victims seem to be increasing each time.
