Sephirot? Seems remarkably like Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. Now whether its just a coincidence I don't know but hey, something to think aobut.

Actually, I think the program name has more to do with the actual Sephirot, which is where Sephiroth gets his name. The Sephirot, in various kabbalistic/occult belief systems, are the (nine, I think) spheres/pathways connecting this world to the divine, or god. So, considering Sephiroth thought Jenova was a god and wanted to become a god himself, it's natural that he would be named after the Sephirot.
