Strange Letter
Strange letter received via mail

Hey there. Can anyone shed any light on this image for me?

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c12/KATIEB_23/04-10-20072.jpg

Following is the link where I discovered the initial thread:

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread277992/pg1

The people on abovetopsecret are doing their best to decipher this, but from my days on this board during the whole Metacortechs deal, i have a lot of confidence y'all can figure this one out...

Ok, well, Superficially, the biblical verse is "The water you drink shall be the sixth part of a hin by measure; you shall drink it from time to time."

A hin is a unit of liquid measure used by the ancient Hebrews, equal to about five liters.

The numbers at the bottom all seem to be parts of simple addition problems:

5993 + 7 = 6000 etc. But i have no idea what it means.

EDIT: OOps, too late, see Caterpillar's post below.

And it seems like the picture came along with a phone number. I'm in the US so i'm not calling it.

If you read through this thread, it appears (at least to me) to be a chain letter of sorts. More than one person has received them, addresses appear to be straight out of the phone book sans post code.

Also posted in that thread is a link to these.... Norman Spencer's "prediction science"... which might be a basis for the numbers on the leaflet. Odd stuff.

Seems to me to be numerology-related. Every town of a certain size has at least one guy who tries to get the word out on something-or-other, usually a conspiracy or fringe religious theory, using flyers with numerology reasoning. This is easy to do since numerology is by its nature so vague that you can prove absolutely anything with it:

"...and since the battle of The Alamo happened on the 23rd and selenium has an atomic weight of 79.86, that proves that Paul Prudhomme must have been an avatar of Zoroaster!"

In any case it's almost certainly not ARG-related, since the design and the fact it was sent by postal mail strongly suggest whoever made it doesn't have access to a computer.

META....META....META
I'm not sure if I agree with this conclusion. It doesn't follow that using the mail and sending a hand drawn picture means no computer. Look at the way tCotSA is being conducted. Not everything in an ARG has to be done over the computer. And the fact that someone choses to use a different medium to transmit a message does not mean they don't have a computer.

IKA is 9-11-01 in the numbering system mentioned.

HOV is 8-15-22, which doesn't really correspond to anything in history.
