The origin of the crossword clues puzzle

Hey peeps,

Lots of people are interested in the crossword clues puzzle and where it came from, exact wording, etc. It was given to us in an IRC chat with Caretaker. The entire log of the chat can be found at http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/files/372_1066183890.txt. Here is where Caretaker gave us the puzzle (with extraneous utterings snipped):

He reiterated them again later in the conversation:

I just noticed that there is a typo in the first set of clues - he said "Slangy dissent" when he meant "Slangy assent", however when he restated the clues several times later he always said "Assent", which is also what the puzzle in the Post said. I think it was just an error in transcription.
