Yeah, it was mainly the ARGN article that made me think there was an ARG involved....
Quote:
While the show description is interesting enough, a more intriguing tidbit of information game in a game tip sent in to ARGNet which states to watch the show closely, as there may be "something you are missing!"
...That coupled with the fact that there was a whole segment on "is there going to be a Halo 3" arg and the fact that none of them denied it made me think there could be an ARG about Halo 3 clue hidden in the vid.
It may be nothing, but I thought you guys would want to look into it.

google princess peach halo 3 and you will find that the same actress does both Cortana's voice and Princess Peach... also Cortana is currently being held captive much like Princess Peach would be. Bowser vs. Gravemind

Thought I'd toss this GameHead clip interview with 42 and this SPEC into the pile!

Well I did a preliminary watch through to see what I could notice, and the only thing I saw consistently in frame over a long period of time was the one framed photo at about head level on a shelf in one of the offices. The one of the adobe style building with the word "EATS" across the top.
Later today, I'll see if I can get the videos into a better software and go frame by frame.

You think you might be able to get a good look at the whiteboard behind Jordan Weisman?
(I noticed the building with EATS as well - but I think the "S" could be a "5")

mario was obviously not an arg for halo 3 but the parallels between the two games, as far as princess peach and cortana go (both being the same voice over artistst, and both being kidnapped) can't really be argued against, so what i see in all this miyamoto.spiketv.com thing is that there may be another clue in next weeks episode. have you guys seen the miyamoto frames i posted about earlier?
I also so the Eats restaurant, and i also so a reoccuring Ploy something or other in a frame in Bonds' office...

A screen cap might help explain what you mean.
You mean this segment?

If the picture you're talking about is the Pirates of the Caribbean poster in Kona's screencap, although it's not mentioned in the video, 42 did a promotion called Dead Man's Tale for POTC2/Windows Live Messenger, so that might be leftover from that.
For those that wish to peruse without the whiplash-inducing video game reviews interrupting them, I'm hosting an edited version of the video (Quicktime and Windows Media format). (At least unless and until I get ordered to take them down.)
They're still uploading, though, so give them a bit.

Okay, so I have a whole slew of screencaps for all the good it does. Most of them are too blurry to make out text in the background, like on the white erase board. Did anyone Tivo it that could look in HD?
http://s176.photobucket.com/albums/w174/degravedi/
Some random observations/questions:
Could the "random" flashes of images at the end of Segment 4 have some significance to another 42 game? Are any of them from previous games? (minus the pictures of Miyamoto)
Alex Lieu quote: "Well cadavers were mentioned a few weeks ago but we havn't pulled that one off yet." Any brainstorms on what they possibly could have been used for (or were discussed being used for)? And could all the pictures of dead people on gurneys at the end of segment 4 be related to this in some way?
The EATS picture is right next to a gunslinger figure and has an adobe/western look to it. Can anyone who played Last Call Poker / Gun verify that it wasn't from that?
Why does Miyamoto look like a ghost in this picture? http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w174/degravedi/gh-seg4-16.jpg
What's with the bald Vegeta Cthulu dude? http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w174/degravedi/gh-seg4-17.jpg
Jordan Weisman has a Hello Kitty poster/calendar on his window
Last and most regrettably: The miyamoto.spiketv.com url was "hidden" as a sticker on the shelf while the host was talking to Susan Bonds, as can be seen below. So, the host saying "There's got to be hints around here" is probably refering to that since he's in the same room.

So there probably are no Halo 3 connections in the vids. However! That doesn't change the fact that we still have this string whose meaning we haven't figured out and which is actually from Bungie.

We should refocus at least some energy on that yeah?

Alright, after discussion with another UnF member.. Anthrax101, in the IRC.. he told me that the conversion of the number would come out like this, including unknown previous #'s..
Apparently if you use the Berkley method.. which I've been told is not very common at all, it comes out like that. Creds to Anthrax if it means anything.
Okay, going back to the beginning. Is there some way you could explain this a little better to the laypeople, Raiden? Like what's the Berkley method, why isn't it common, and is there some other method as well? And what is the special type of address / what is it generally used for?
