Hmmmm...Trinity makes sense in a cryptic crossword way. I never would have thought of "try", though. Did we know it was only going to be seven letters? That's one things most cryptic crosswords do to make things a bit easier...tell you how many letters it's going to be.

Yeah, no one said how many letters. as i said before it would have been a HUUUUUUUGE help, otherwise any guess is as good as the next. I'll be around later to help!

trinity7night (20:31:13): Paradox is something like shooting your own grandfather.
trinity7night (20:31:19): How about shooting someone's son?
CissMiace (20:31:32): Is that what you intend to do?
trinity7night (20:31:37): Perhaps.
trinity7night (20:31:39): If he complys.
CissMiace (20:31:50): Why his son?
trinity7night (20:32:1Cool: His wife's divorced him, he' got demoted several times..Nothing else to take, but his son.

Wow...I just downloaded AIM. I haven't used this thing in quite a while, and it's WAY niftier now than it was back in the day when I used it!
Neither Trinity or Mr. Fairborn seem to be on right now, though. Sad

Hmm i dunno, but so far I get the impression that no matter what we say its wrong, and we cant solve any clues and were having to have them given to us =\

I feel the same way, CissMiace, but I am also having a good time with it. This doesn't seem to be one of those mega-huge-all-encompassing ARGs...it seems more like a fun little exercise. At least that's how I see it. And I think we're doing ok.

Can we assume that this is taking place in Britain.

The cryptic crossword clue, a TRY is a score in rugby, the AA is like the AAA in the US, mention of Birmingham, Robin Hood and threatening CissMaice in Manchester.

Don't know if this helps, but not alot to go on at the mo.

Yup...the mention of money as "pounds", too.

Did you save your convo with Paradox?

And yeah, I got a Tique. Toque. from him but I was away. What does he want us to do? I mean really, the clues were supposed to lead us to his AIM name right? And he hasn't given us any more. Except for this "16 years ago" thing. Which John won't tell us anything about. I wonder how old his son is..

Doesn't anyone else think that "tique toque" is an odd phrase? "Tick tock" maybe, but spelling it tique toque looks French to me.

Also, I thought toque was some sort of hat (the kind worn by chefs I think). Probably irrelevant, but who knows?!?

Ooo, a villain you love to hate. Sorry/good for you hon? (you seem to want your family to disappear XD) Well, he certainly can't pull any of that garbage with me.

And yeah, the tique toque does seem off, but I can't find anything interesting for it (except that yes, that's what the french use for tick tock.)

Damn, i really hope that my not being in Manchester, or the UK for that matter, doesn't exclude me from any contact with paradox. I wanna talk to him! Or anybody!

EDIT: Oh yeah, and so tique toque, to me, signals that perhaps Paradox is french...i forget what it's called but you know how we americans say the sound a cat makes is "meow" but in, for instance, south africa, the sound a cat makes is "mow." Does that make any sense? Basically Paradox is french, ok?

Paradox isn't necessarily French, but could be in France. Belgium or Switzerland could be alternatives for that matter, or other French-speaking places. Wonder if there's anything in that picture that might suggest where it was taken.

I'm not sure if you think that Paradox is simply in a French speaking country or is French speaking himself. The reason I'm saying he's a french speaker is that his language indicates a specific cultural background. It would be the same as having a conversation with me, me using the word "color" and you assuming that I'm American because I didn't use a "u." I wouldn't start adding a "u" if I traveled to the UK.
