[Meta] MetaUrchins Website The MetaUrchings will be going up soon on metaurchins.org
peter_magenheimer will register the domain and get the hosting.
Lots of discussions are going on on IRC at the moment about the website being used a central point for the writing of the book.
Other items to include on the site will be a full archive of all the game websites and the PM's will not maintain them forever.
A full list of all the players will also be nice.
However, I strongly believe it should NOT have a seperate forum for discussion. We've built a great community here and I think it should stay here..
If you have any more suggestions please post them here.
If you want to be part of the development team and can contribute to design/coding/maintaining/etc. please reply in this thread with what you can do...

If you need any help, I can do it. I can code, design and maintain (just pick one of them, I don't have time for all three )

I can wiggle my ears, put both my legs behind my head, dunk a basketball, and do a backflip while smoking a cigarette.
Also, I can do music for the site. Finale 2004 creates nice compressed MIDI files now. How about a MIDI Navras for the home page?

I was planning on having a forum on the site, but it would be for discussing the book (format, content, etc.), not this ARG. People could post their submissions to the book there, and the team could look over the submissions and decide which they want in the book or whatever.
Just an idea... I think it might be hard to maintain a book discussion here, since unforums is not dedicated to the book and there's no main forum where it can be discussed.

Do you have any pictures for this new website I can look for hidden messages in? I have the dedication needed for several days worth of staring.

Makes perfect sense to me - it would be a lot easier to coordinate everything this way, and for everybody to see how far along we are.
I can help out with writing the content or any other non-technical things.

I'll second Yanka and say that I can also help out with content and non-technical bits.
I've made webpages before, but that was with Frontpage, so I don't think you want my help with coding. I like playing with graphics software, but I stink at it, so that's only if you're really desperate. With Peter and his amazing imaging here, I don't see why you would be.

I can contribute web code (either raw HTML or PHP) and have decent site design skills. I also have about 137 megs worth of files on metacortex.netninja.com if you want a dump of all that. Some of that archive could probably be trimmed (for instance, I have the CD in three different forms).
Also: if you want a stock photo or two for use on the site, I'll be glad to contribute. They're pretty cheap anyway, but I have already gone through the hassle of creating a BitPass account for other reasons before this ARG even started and still have cash in my account.
