It might help to separate the BASt from the real game.
Not sure how you're able to conclude that this is pre-game, and even if it were ... why separate BASt from the rest of the game? It was BASt who began this game, BASt who will most likely play an integral role in this game...
...just not following your logic.
I vote a resounding #2

I agree, the Eldritch Errors thing hasn't been brought up and it was (supposedly) a Meta site that we shouldn't have known about yet.
I cast my vote for #2 as well

I still think Eldritch Errors is the best name, even if I'm in the minority.

I think Eldritch Errors is fine. I don't like BASt, personally. If it's any of the alternatives, I'd prefer B Seeing U.

How about [BASt] Eldritch Errors
or
BSeeingU: Eldritch Errors

Eldritch Errors is fine by me. Better that than have to rename the section once this "pilot chapter" is over.

Of course, no one seems to have a problem with the chat room being #stfeline (which doesn't technically match any of the proposed choices, although 5 comes closest). Is there going to be a whole discussion about changing the name of the chat room next?
And does it really matter what the game is called on the board? It's not the first time a game has had more than one name, and I'm sure it won't be the last. It's not as if it was named by mixing and matching magnetic poetry words that make no sense. It says right on the website
Quote:
If you arrived here, you're probably participating in the pilot chapter of Eldritch Errors, an immersive horror series playing out in real time on the Web.
making EE about as official of a name as you can get.
Btw, did I miss a memo about information gathered directly from the WHOIS suddenly being off-limits due to spoilers? Guess we'll have to stop looking at the WHOIS for phone numbers to call anymore. And while you're at it, can you please stop throwing around the name of the PM team who is doing the game. That was gotten from the WHOIS as well, and thus would fall under spoiler information. Not everyone wants to know who is behind the curtain afterall.

Ok I have to say something.
First, no I've never had a problem with how chat rooms are named as opposed to how the games are named. This one included.
Second, I always thought games were named based on how players refered to it. I see now thats not so. But I bet if the mods who named the game were also playing it then the name would be the more popular player referrence.
So it seems that someone really wants this game to be called EldritchErrors. It seems that this is the obvious "right" name for this game. So ok. If its that important. I will call it BSeeingu in my head. At least I know where to find BSeeingu on the forum. I hope new players who might have come across BSeeingU on the internet understand the EldrictchError connection without having read the forums, which they won't find because they are looking for BSeeingU.
But EldritchError is the right name for this game.
