Tell me the beetle one is still a go. Please? I've invested too much in it for it to lead nowhere. Though bits of the solve did make me think "oh dear, dead end?"

Still can't quite get the right word in to get past it though.

[EDIT] By the way, should this be moved to Timewasters? I know I'm spending far too much time on it Razz

I'm several pages beyond it. It is not the end.

ok, I'm going to have to ask a question here ...

I just found an answer beyond "the most famous portrait in red chalk" ... but I don't know if its really right or if its a WAG.

So my question is if its a false lead ... how long can we wander around before we realize its a dead end? I'm assuming if each new page has a place to enter in the solution key, we're on the right path.

I also must say, I'm quite impressed with the music. Where did you get all this stuff?

Listen, I found a really good site for cracking the cyphers. For anyone stuck on five, the golden beetle, go here and use the decoder cypher that coincides with the picture. Have fun ^_^

And I did all that work longhand Rolling Eyes . Oh well I enjoyed the process of discovery.

Now I am possibly where Mister G33k is, or thereabouts.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Neither the artist nor the sitter yield anything. Of course, it being a self portrait limits the options there a bit, but still...

Naw, I got the cipher decoded, I just can't get the right phrase for it.

Remember the hint I gave you in PM? That's how you solve where you're at. I'm at the puzzle right after where you are. Let me tell you, where I am is going to take a while.

Ok, Mister Red Chalk is tormenting me also. Which no doubt GreenGecko will read with a certain amount of satisfaction. CURSE YOU!

Ahem. But yes.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The art pages up to this one have a standard answer, as it were. Either the Red Chalk one one breaks this pattern, or I can't find a definitive answer. So, would that suggest the artworks up to now had a different theme as well? Apart from the obvious?

All I'm going to say is it breaks the pattern.

Hints please

Ok I completely fluked the entry puzzle, was there a puzzle?, needless to say I'm now stuck on the next puzzle.

TV on a wall, static, the flash file is tvnoise, I know I'm missing something obvious, hell I even dusted my monitor Embarassed to make sure I wasn't imaging seeing writing on the wall.

I don't want to hear the Carpenters again Confused

btw are the solution keys one word answers or multi word answers minus spaces.

Solution keys can indeed be multiword minus spaces. But as for the tv, that's news to me. You appear to have found an alternate path. Good luck with it, but I cannot offer any assistance with it. Smile
