That one is

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
a Vigenere cipher I solved it by well, fluke and an educated guess really. Look for letters you know the plaintext for already

if you're still stuck. UF has a handy tool linked somewhere

That's how I thought it was encoded, I just couldn't quite get it.

BTW
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
two pages back ... where there was some Hebrew at the bottom of the page ... did you ever get that translated? I can't find a resource for that and I don't know anyone who can read it

Yeah, at first I thought they were

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the key to the Vigenere cipher on the next page, but now I don't think so. They still might be for all I know though. They don't translate to a nice Anglicised alphabet, do they? I got each individual letter, except one, which might be a vowel (Hebrew and vowels go all weird), but nothing seems readily apparent as an English word

So, no, never really solved that one either Sad

Oh I give up. The "red chalk" page has completely reduced me to tears. Any further hint on how it "breaks the pattern"?

Beardface is a pain in the ass. I'll tell you what UberG33k told me

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He was featured in a recent book and film, as were the other artworks. Obviously the key is not the same as the key for the other artworks, instead, its something to do with the book/film.

Aha! Thanks for the tip. I don't know if I'm on the same path, but I seem to have something new to solve now.

Gawd, more Coordinates.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Coordinates which appear to point to nowhere terribly interesting. In a city full of wonder, he picks the dullest part ever.

Edit: Typed in coords wrong. Tis not in the middle of nowhere at all. Now I feel like an idiot. Embarassed

aargh

Hi. I just started looking at this thing, and have hit a wall. It involves a portrait involving an animal. The obvious things don't seem to be working for me. Any push?

Yes... I've tried a number of things (for a day or so now) including many many possible names of the piece in question in many languages etc. but I'm just not hitting on the correct thing. Others seem to have made it past this point with no problems, so I'm not sure what I'm missing.
