Ok, the one I'm on at the moment has a load of circles, and a really freaky guy. That other forum, Nordinho, seems to think they have solved it, but I disagree with their solve...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The final two circles look a bit like X and T, so they tried a common word that ends in those letters, and wound up at a new page. gott_sei_dank will know all too well the page it goes to Razz Looks like magic eye to me..?

But I disagree with their solve, because of instances of the string "XX" occuring, and because there are too many symbols (I make it a possible 34?) for it to be another symbol/alphabet swap - there aren't that many others that look like letters, either. Also the answer seems a bit simplistic for this stage in the game Razz

Gah, but if that's not the answer I have no idea how to decode it Evil or Very Mad

That said, I might work on the TV one a while, as I'd quite like to see where it goes.

This was mentioned earlier on in this thread as an alternative path at the begining. How exactly do you get there? I'm hanging out with a gargoyle right now. I understand what I'm supposed to do here, I just haven't quite hit on what I need to decipher it yet.

This doesn't really have to do with solving puzzles, but I thought I'd make it a public question to Mr. Gecko so everyone could see the answer.

How long did this take for you to put together and what was the inspiration(s)?

if i hadn't tried that word, we would still be confused about the circles one.

She scares me...

But not nearly as much as Scarface here - I have to turn off my monitor and close Firefox before I go to sleep Sad

To start by stating the obvious - I'm new here. I started working my way through the puzzles today and have gotten up to the "first art page" and for the life of me I am stuck. Do I need to know the name of the painting itself to get past?

Ciao,
DaveT

Solved her quickly. It took a while to play "guess where I'm pointing to", but it wasn't too bad. The water is now running red. This is not a good thing...

There are several ways to go from where you are. That is one of them.

I quite enjoyed that one. Its a beautiful script. I might learn to write in it, just for kicks Very Happy

I am so stumped on the circles... or the TV, if indeed that is the correct path - which I still doubt.

Hurry up and join me Mister G33k, I need another brain! Twisted Evil

Working on it ... I'll have to work on this script on the train ride home.

tv trouble

I'm kinda glad that people are stumped by the tv. I was thinking that what if
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
it only received transmissions at a certain time, maybe makeing fake http headers here would help
.

And did anybody notice anything else on the wall?

Yes, looks kind of like
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"YE $". There is other graffitti too, but that appears to be the most prominent. I still have my money on something like a Magic Eye (I suck at those) - I can make out what look like a noughts and crosses board made of kinda squashed up pixels...

It could be your idea with the TV, but I am not about to start messing with my HTTP headers (though it would be good practice - not for anything nefarious I promise!).

Its just that I'm tired and grumpy from having a day go by and making no headway on this Censored puzzle
