Year Zero CD color change...
The CD changes color after it's been played.

I don't know if any of this has been mentioned before, and I hope it hasn't.

First off, I'm new to this forum, and the ARG world (but I've been a fan for awhile), and I like NIN, I guess it works out... Smile

Anyway... I just ripped the CD to my PC and the CD popped out a bit different than when I put it in.

When warmed (via playing for myself), the CD reveals many binary combinations. Too many for me to post, even, and I wouldn't even know where to begin, but what the heck, I'll just post two full-size hi-res images so everyone else can see what I did.

At the three o'clock position on the CD, underneath the binary "010 010" it says "Halo 24"

I hope this helps, or already has...

After doing a little more work, it seems that there are 112 binary digits, and, if this is true binary, that means that it will be 14 digits long in ASCII, right?

*EDIT*

I just did a ton of reading, at it's already been done.

Sorry.

If you notice that last strand of binary is incomplete but according to the rest it gives:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
www.exterminal.ne assuming net is the last letter, obviously..
