Doh! I was looking at that yesterday hahaha!

There was one in, Brooklands Cemetery in Manchester.

I liked the Iowa one though because it specifically mentions her 'worn face' possibley from vandals and cheeky university students. (but from what Ive seen, its not that worn)

Apparently this Angel is unusual because, Angels on graves are usually poised with their heads and wings uplifted (as a sign of aiding the accent into Heaven) however this one, has its face and wings pointed downwards Shocked

Okay, the more I think about it, the more I am convinced that BA is in Lovecraft's Dreamlands:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreamlands

Here are some key excerpts:

Quote:
To reach the Dreamlands, a sleeper must find an unusual stairway in a conventional dream and walk down the Seventy Steps of Light Slumber to face the judgment of powerful gatekeepers named Nasht and Kaman-Tha. If judged worthy (that is, able to survive the dangers of the Dreamlands), the dreamer is allowed to descend the Seven Hundred Steps of Deeper Slumber and emerges in the Enchanted Wood.

...

The Dreamlands can be entered in other ways, including physically. This usually requires passing through very dangerous areas of both the waking world and the Dreamlands. Consequently, real death becomes a risk.

Quote:
The Dreamlands is divided into four continental regions, each named for its cardinal direction.

....

The West is the most well-known region of the Dreamlands and is probably the most peopled as well. It is where dreamers emerge from the Steps of Deeper Slumber. The port of Dylath-Leen, the largest city of the Dreamlands, lies on its coast. The town of Ulthar, where no man may kill a cat, is also located here. Other important cities are Hlanith (a coastal jungle city) and Ilarnek (a desert trade capital). The land of Mnar and the ruins of Sarnath are found at the southern border. The Enchanted Wood of the zoogs is also found here. It joins the South.

Quote:
Cats
In the novella The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath (D-QoUK) by H. P. Lovecraft, cats are intelligent and organized in a paramilitary tribal system. They communicate in a complex language that can be understood and spoken by dreamers.

Anyway, that's just my two cents.

Do you think the 'gatekeepers' are the ones that blocked her way?

Just to let you know, I've added a second sheet on the Google spreadsheet of CLs, sorted alphabetically by city. Nothing pops out.
It's been suggested that the CLs for specific players not be included, but this list has them all.

And it starts again:

Is this in response to Lovek's dream?

EDIT:
IcyMidnight's tool rocks:

I left another message as well, before I read Lovek's post. I wanted to see if we had to wait a week or not. Mine was something like this:

Quote:
Hi there, it's Carmen from London again. I'm still having these dreams. This time, I'm walking down the street, and it seems like everyone else is going in the opposite direction. I see a pile of dishes in front of a building, and I start to sort through it, but most of it is broken. I finally find a mug that is intact, and I turn, and hand it to a woman who is walking by. She takes it from me and throws it to the ground, breaking it.

Then, I write my phone number on the wall 011 44 7793 813 079 and walk away. I don't know what any of this means, and I was hoping you could help. Thanks.

EDIT:

She directly quotes me in the Harrisonburg post:

Quote:
Everyone, it seemed, was going the other way.

and refers to the phone number business in another:

Quote:
The dial tone drills into my brain; each number presses deeper than the last. A conversation would be impossible gibberish at best.

No posting for London yet. Are we supposed to connect our real cities with the ones we are connected to in the Craigslist posts?

The Sacramento post was apparently due to my call earlier in the day, but bears no resemblance to the dream I reported (Feeling helpless during a home invasion).

I'm sure we're supposed to be ROTing something, but I really can't figure out what. Have tried first/last letters of paragraphs, sentences and words. Nada. Crying or Very sad

EDIT: "site" vs: "sight" might have been a clue.
I'll check into that maņana. But IIRC, The letter "I" was pretty dominant, there.

And... We're getting a lot of:
You: Dreaming
Me: Awake
in the newer posts. Makes me think they don't have much to do with our quest.

Here's more:

http://zurich.craigslist.org/mis/324724086.html
http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/mis/324752836.html
http://erie.craigslist.org/mis/324770257.html

So far, we seem to have shifted to scenes of drug dealing. For instance, we have a new 'character' Duane, the drug dealer.

Could these dreams be from her time in the City? Could B.A. have lived in Alphabet City in the Lower East Side of NYC?
Quote:
Suddenly, I realize where I am. Has it been that long? I wonder if he knows or if he chose this block for the initials. BA. It's fitting. But, he does his research. When I turn around to ask, he's gone. I run after him. Up 2nd. Past A. Across 1st. Before I can hit 2nd, I hear the screaming.

If it helps at all, when I called her, I basically told her:

Quote:
my reoccurring dream was getting worse, that is was getting so vivid and so bad that I couldnt tell what was reality and what was dream anymore.
I said I felt like fleeing, but didnt know where, or if it was just all in my mind.

I dont know if that links in with any new dreams on the craiglist, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Mainly because this rang a bell with what I said (from Erie):

Quote:
I don't know where I am. I don't know how to get back. I'm lost. I'm lost in a creation of my own mind

But I could be wrong.

Seems too close of a fit to not be. I've tried to follow the direction of her path, and while running UP 2nd usually would refer to being on 2nd Avenue, the only way it makes sense to me is if she was running along 2nd Street. So she see's Duane (I'm guessing) on 2nd Street and Avenue B and follows him along 2nd Street until she loses him between 1st and 2nd Avenue.

This area was notorious for dealing in the late 70's and 80's, but cleaned up by the end of the 80's. Maybe that can place the event's of BA's dreams in a time reference.

Here's some history

http://members.tripod.com/Fighting9th/History22.htm

I haven't read much Lovecraft, but I've read a comic loosely based on his experiences and dreams. I got the impression that Arkham was a sort of alternate dream city amalgamated from places in real time (other towns in Massachusetts, possibly Salem), but darker and more sinister. When I read BA's postings I get that same impression. She's traveling through a place she knows, but an alternate version of it filled with chaos and destruction. Only accessed through dreams like Lovecraft's Dreamlands.

Is BA's city an alternate, eviler New York?

The screaming I hear is the PMs wondering when we're gonna feel their clue stick hitting us over our collective heads. I do not take this literally to be about any city at all, but oblique instructions pointing at a puzzle we're missing. Something about taking the first letter, or the second letter, or going back and forth, or going up and down, building an acrostic, a crossword... we've toyed with these notions and still not seen anything in the ads. The only other thing B.A. has to offer us is her website and her outgoing phone message. I'm trying, I'm trying!

Well regardless of whether it's a clue to something else (and I agree that it could be), it's pretty clear (to me) that new dreams seem to be in taking place in Alphabet City:

Go back to the circled red words? I suggested before that they resembled crossword clues.
