alignment

i also want to know if that (wrong way turn- lock) aligns holes (looking at the rest of you 5% smarty guys HAHAHA )I told yall how to remove the maze and im just a dumbass race car driver now figure out this alignment question because i forget and always turn the wrong way before i open it ...oh ya and number1barber....when you opened your isis the first time was there a ball in the plunger half, just rolling around?...it should have been 5 components ..ball half, ball half, center ring,key,ball....i was thinking maybe your isis didnt have the 3rd ball in it to begin with..if it is still in the "original" position you should see it when the isis is open

cornettracing80. i double checked. you can only release extra ball when isis halfs are ligned up as normal. as to releasing it i have spoken with alot of people and tried myself and it is bloody hard on ours as the magnet is so strong. in regards to my way to open it im sure you was joking right? i mean to release the extra ball you have to bang it and i unlock the isis without extra ball by banging it so it,s about the same so i guess your the monkey for saying that. thanks for the answer about the balls but i dont get it. ball 1 inside bottom half restricting locking plate moving unless in the right place. ball 2 held by magnet and released to do maze thing and to open isis. if there were 3 balls what would the third be for? i will split it open to check but can you put the plate back once you lever it out? anyone else seen 3 balls?

The monkey club

sorry if i rubbed you the wrong way ,i was joking ... the bottom half has two balls in it ,one in each "track" there are two holes for these balls to sit in ..please advise to whether or not your mazes bottom side does have 2 holes (shallow holes for balls to sit in). it does sound like your isis came with only two balls..the ball held by the magnet when in the center of the maze allows for a further movement of the maze piece into the ball bottom..its in effect a shim allowing for further travel...the maze slightly compresses into ball bottom without the magnet held ball in the center of the maze.not having the second ball in the bottom doesn't seem to effect being able to open it ..i agree totaly with your posts about 3rd ball being hard to dislodge..i in fact think i see a little adhesive on the magnet in the hole in the top half.
i thought we where friends enough to call each other monkeys Laughing

Number1barber, 2 balls under maze, one on magnet that can go into maze = 3 balls. If you remove your maze, there is a spring and 2 balls underneath. If you only have one you have probably lost one cos you will notice there are 2 grooves for balls to sit in on the underside of the maze.

dear monkey of course we are friends. and i like the name monkey. thanks to you both. what you said explains it. the thing is that if the two balls do the same you might as well list them as one as i either only have 2 in total or 3 but lock first 2 the same way so only think there is 2 total. i think we should sue for the prize as the magnet means you have to do something that is completley ilogical to a 100 quid toy. not exactly a puzzle.what a scam. i do concur without checking myself. 3 balls.

OPENED!

Hey all.

Well thanks to thenumber1barber I opened the ball! Very Happy

Anyway I had to take the maze out, but now I want to put it back I have a problem. As the entrance to the maze has to line up with the entry shoot it needs to go back in the way it came out. I cannot remember which way this was! Or does it even matter?

Thanks

thanks man!!

ok so i couldnt get my isis open again after removing the maze
after reading coxy's question i opened my isis the "second way "
and sure as shit i had it in wrong ..the hole in the maze should line up with a small indent mark on the bottom half as you will see a similar indent mark in alignment with the 1st balls home on the top half
the indent mark is right by the gold ring "placentas" or circles or what ever you call them lol
thanks coxy ,your question helped me figure out the prob. i was having
i cant wait to see isis 2
later

Every ISIS has a different combination....?

I got my ISIS last week....GREAT!!! 5 hours to open the thing after getting the clues worked out, ..... thought it might have been a bit harder to work out, found this forum, and it does seem all ISIS puzzle balls open the same way..... they all have the same clues, same markings except the 10 digit code. So I emailed sonicwarp, below is the mail I sentand the reply, please let me know what you think.

John
The wording on the gadgetshop website is correct, there are many
combinations to opening the isis and they most definitely do not all
open
the same way.

Rebuttal

I have had correspondence with erica owens and sonic warp bent over backwards to fix an issue i had ,i know of at least two ways to open my isis
people who live their lives looking for someone to sue are why the rest of us pay high premiums on anything we buy ,those people should sue themselves for being an asshole
i actually can not wait for isis 2
if you think your getting ripped off, dont buy it
there's no reason to ruin it for everyone who can afford a 200$
puzzle without crying about it
i will never be able to collect the prizes and i still plan on owning them all
you have a wonderful puzzle and a piece of history
erica owens is the best customer relations person i have ever dealt with
thats all i have to say about that

Anyone noticed how hard the pyramid clues are becoming?

I simply cannot believe the spoilers people are posting on this site.
A lot of people are starting to complain about the pyramid clues becoming harder, but why do you think this could be the case?

Could it perhaps be something to do with the fact that it is giving the chance for people who can actually solve a puzzle for themselves, and have gone to the effort to do so, get a chance to get the coins.

I myself am wondering about whether it is worth getting ISIS II, - simply due to the fact that all it takes is one idiot with verbal diarrhea to fluke their way to the solution faster than solving the puzzle correctly, and the people genuinly trying to participate in the adventure will be once again swamped by sheep following a cheat sheet.

I for one hope that not too many of the genuine puzzle solvers out there are deterred by this as that could harm SW's profits, which would in turn harm our chances of seeing the series through to completion.

Shame there is not an easy way for SW to impose a non disclosure agreement before purchase, as a deterrant to the less honourable amongst us.

The 3rd ball?

Well after many days of trying, I have given up trying to get the 3rd ball ebaring out. I had a fun few hours with my family on the 1st day deciphering all the clues in the book, and around the edge of the box... but there seems to be no clue anywhere relating to the "3rd ball bearing".

I checked Google and found this forum thread, and have read every single page - and from reading, have tried smacking the Isis against a phonebook in many different directions/orientations, or dropping it from a height - but at no stage have I heard a 3rd ball bearing.

I can only assume there is a specific technique to it, rather than just "hammer the 3rd ball bearing out then do the clues"!

Anyone able to provide further help with hearing this 3rd ball? We've all had a go in our house and are all feeling a bit demotivated, stuck on this 1st step (necessity?) Sad
