You're on the right track, but you stopped looking too soon!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You need a key to map the symbols to letters. Maybe someone's already done it?

Ok, that was a little more tricky than I expected. I have the next glyphs translated, I'm just tryting to figure out where they hell he's pointing to.

Uninteresting side note : I've actually been there!

I am also trying to figure out where' he's pointing too. I can't make it make resolve into anywhere sensible. Probably not using it right. Or have misread the heads. Will keep trying after dinner.

Help with Red Chalk

Ok I have made it through several art ones and ended up with the Red Chalk drawing. I know what the picture is called and who it is by but that doesn't seem to help. I have also tried a few words connected to a certain book/film but I still can't get past this one. Can anyone drop me a big hint ?

If you read the coordinates right, there is only one place it could be. Given that any set of coordinates could point at 4 different spots by manipulating the pairing of N, S, E, W ... you'll find that 3 of the four combinations land you in the middle of an ocean. One points to a spot on land ... and it makes sense given the context of the riddle. Problem here is that Google Maps can't zoom in enough for me to understand what he's pointing at. I know the general area, but I have a feeling he's wanting the name of a specific building/monument/feature in that area.

When asking for help, its always good to tell us exactly what you want help with.

For the second puzzle, there was a hint posted in this thread already for that one. If that hint doesn't help you get it, then I'm not sure what I could say that wouldn't blatently give away the answer and piss off grngecko.

As for anyone getting past the tarrot card, yes. They seem to have done it over at Nordinho forums. I think the furthest any regular here at Unfiction has gotten is the ancient glyphs.

On a side note, does anyone have any other tools than Google Earth to determine what a set of coordinates are pointing at? I know generally what we're pointing at here and I'm fairly certain I know the exact structure as well, but I can't be sure since I can't zoom in enough to tell. Every variant on the name of the structure seems to come up empty here, so I'd like to be able to double check myself before continuing on with the mindless "guess the phraseology I used" game.
