Well, perhaps they weren't set up for half-hour settings on time. It seems to be open now, a half-hour early.

anyone else got any ideas? I have 9 numbers but only need 8, and there are 2 in there that will only balance with more than 1 thing on the other side.

yep....same as i got

if you need a hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
measure each spice against a base measure, notice there are 9 spices to pick from

if you need another hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
order the numbers from biggest to smallest sized spices, then break it down by color

if you just want the answer
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1328 8645

looks like we have to wait until 20:00 again booo

I *think* mine are the same as yours...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Using garlic cloves as base because they are the heaviest:

1 garlic
2 red hominy beans
3 meat chunks
4 cornmeal
5 paprika
6 black pekoe tea
7 -
8 white beans, tan beans, pinto beans
9 -

Now go by size & color and you get in!

How are you determining that? I just remeasured after reloading....same results. Curious.....

Do tell!
Very Happy

I agree, reloading changes nothing. But there is abowl of black stuff (top left) and a bowl of Garlic? (Bottom left) that cannot be used and may confuse.

Sassy:
this contains material about the puzzle answer
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
um in the previous spoiler written...he said he used garlic as his base. i didnt even have to option to put garlic on the measuring plates. i believe there were 13 spices pictured, but each individual person doing the puzzle can only manipulate and move nine of them. they just make sure that the right amount of spices with the correct base measurements needed to get the next coordinates are able to be moved and measured

hope that explains it...if you need more info...just post me again:)
