Were they removed for some reason, or was it accidental when the thread was split?

Possible. But Space has noticed that we've had some issues with lost attachments and he has to do some code stuff to bring them back.

Can you re-attached to your original post with an edit?

I'd been checking for them to change too, and not seen any sign either - and they aren't linked to moon phases, as it's a full moon tomorrow.

If it is related to progress why fade at the end though?

It's very odd because when I go into "Edit" they're still there attached. So I can't re-attach them. Question

Let me know if I should just go ahead and attach them again, or leave it to see if it can be fixed. Very Happy

I have no idea - I just figured they have different phases for some reason. I know we're on gif #3 now - and on 21 Apr 2007 01:42:50 GMT, we were on gif #2. And that's all the hard data I have.

It's the pilot chapter, which indicates there will be others....so maybe it runs through the same cycle of gifs for each successive chapter.

Okay, if they are still there when you go to edit, then SpaceBass has to fix the error on his end and they will reappear.

The changing of the gifs may just be random, or could be a pattern. We'll have to keep an eye on them to tell.

Damn eldritchy atachments! Very Happy

I don't think they're random, but nor do they matter much in the big scheme of things either.

Just checked it and it's definitely switching at 10pm GMT.

Assuming that a 12 hour day/night cycle means that midnight/noon is +/- 6 hours from the changeover, that would mean the site is set up to run at GMT -4.

The original thing that made me realize they were using two different color schemes was that when the site is black, the end text isn't visible.

I attempted to "fall through the wall" and email the indicated address (inquirySPLATeldritcherrors.com), just to advise - but it's a big bouncerooney.

Thank you for posting this! Very Happy I was sure I was just imagining it! Nice to know that it realls -is- changing, though what that entails still seems unsure~

Ignore the country list though - Rowan pointed out to me that GMT-4 is EST+DST.

I'd forgotten about the summer time changes. So it's just an EST time zone and doesn't tell us much/anything.

Florida (home of GMD) is in the EST time zone. Wink

It's switched to the completely filled O today, so maybe it is moon phases after all?

Yep, heres a nifty Moon Phase calender I found:

http://www.calculatorcat.com/moon_phases/moon_phases.phtml

Its currently a full moon. You can also put them on your website and apparently it should change in 'real time'.

This will be really useful:
