...You watch "Cube" and, upon seeing numbers on the doors, immediately think "puzzle!" and start analyzing...

...in this same movie, you're baffled by why the characters completely ignore the weird patterns on all the walls that so obviously are clues to a map of some sort. After seeing the end...you wonder why the filmmakers ignored them too...

Gumdrops!

...when you see your new org chart labels some people as "matrix" and you start to "decode" their names...

You see this kid on the front page of the NYTimes and think, "hey...what's Jesse doing in Penn Station!?"

...as your writing seminar professor lectures about the challenges of writing and what makes certain writing good, you connect everything with the ARG...

Professor: [major paraphrase/summary] Writing is, by its nature, linear. Reality isn't. Therefore, the challenge in writing lies in translating non-linearity into clear linearity.

Me thinking: ARG! Non-linear! How much more non-linear can you get?!? That's why the story feels so real! Whee!

Professor: Studies done about scientific literature have found that scientists tend to highly rate those articles that make them work to understand their conclusion. No work = not good, and no final understanding for all the work = not good.

Me thinking: ARG! Work! Puzzles to understand the story! ...oh. And that's why so many were unhappy about the end - no final understanding. Hmm.

(That last is actually probably true of Revolutions as well, now that I think about it. All that work trying to decipher Reloaded, and then it turns out we understood it all along and they didn't have much to add after all.)

Er, that got not-so-humorous. Well, I wanted to post this somewhere, and didn't want to create a new thread because that would have been pretty pointless. For the purpose of this thread, feel free to pretend that I stopped after the first sentence. Mr. Green

... you have a dream that you found one of Dina's "missing" pages. Then you realize "oh, I'm dreaming..." In the dream, you now have a problem: how to remember the url after you wake up? I dealt with it rather unsuccessfully, I think - I BOOKMARKED it.

I did that too! Just as I was drifting off on the train on the way home from work, it came to me - the solution to the 'Bisy' page (where it will probably turn out that there is none). It was so simple, but as I began to dream I just thought, 'I'll try that when I wake'.

Ha! I have no idea what it was.... I am sure it was something, not just 'I know the answer', it was 'I know the answer is xxxx.html'.

Heh. Meanwhile, I had a dream where a dolphin bit me on the hand. I clearly have Wongmo issues. My inner dolphin has sharp teeth!

(Well, the dream also involved poison, needles, Hugh Grant, and my grandparents, but that's all irrelevant. The dolphin was the cool part.)
