Sassy Sasssy Sassy HOW DID YOU DO IT??? I just got the email from Volvo saying the Bay of Bengal is open and then I went to the site and we need the pirate chart again - something with the Primo, Segundo, Iceberg and Dragon - I'm trying to fold this bloody chart without any success.
ANY HINTS????

Summergirl This is for you
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Fold your map along the lines run through the shapes listed in the clue in the order they appear on the scraps in the water
Fold 1 = along primo line,
Fold 2 = along segundo line,
Fold 3 = along the dragon line
Flip your map over and you have 11 31 in the middle.
Same again for lines through primo, the rock, and 41 giving 92 15 in the middle by the skull

I LOVE THIS GAME THANK YOU THANK YOU! I actually just figured this out on my own without looking at the spoilers - took about 5 minutes - I've really destroyed my pirate chart with all this folding!!! Anyways, the numbers jumped out at me and now we have to wait until 5/11 to enter Sentinel.
Does anyone know why they opened this early???
This is such a cool game. Thank god I figured it out so I could back to studying for my nursing final!!!!!

Lummi....I think they missed a step. When I was folding the last part, I had one other fold:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Fold the "line of sight" that goes through the skull.
Do you see it now?

Woke up late, but it's obvious I have to get around to picking up an actual map to destroy.

Didn't need, that (that was for puzzle 5 wasn't it?)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I folded through the line ith the •41 on it, but I had to half unfold it first to see where it ran as it was a little hidden.
I agree though, more puzzle less origami, we have done this twice now, makes it far to easy. Last years with the clues, the online map, the keys compass etc... was much better in that respect.

LOL...no Chica, he means scrabble as in scramble around....
I think this puzzle will be like the plates in the WATER puzzle last time which is gonna suck because that one was shaded and hidden much in the same way the maze puzzle we just did was. I hate those. We had to search a very large graphic of water shimmering, and you could faintly see a discoloration in the water when you were over a plate fragment. You clicked to capture it, and it took you to a screen where you could store your fragment and piece by piece put the plate back together. Then you had to go back and get another fragment.....
Honestly I didn't get all the fragments, cuz you could read the numbers without finishing it. Back then I was under the mistaken impression that time was of the essence in ALL the puzzles. LOL!
I agree did not like the water one last year eather! It was difficult . I found it easier if I sat in a dark space and then the colors looked brighter. If I dont go mad from the game this year ...I'll go blind....lol
Do you really think Volvo read the arg files??
and if you use someone elses map dont yuo need your own number from the map this year to be in the running? I hope an ARG player gets it!

I apologize *ahem* for trying to be helpful. My scan was actually on a Xerox Nuvera which processes surveys. It locates the edge of the document, aligns it, and deskews it before converting it to the .pdf
Just trying to give anyone without a map a clean , easily printable , accurate document to fold and have the coords show up in the right place and not have extra margins to wade through.

Friggin SUPER SUPER COOL!!!!
Volvo Car Corporation does exactly what it says on the tin: makes cars. In fact for this Volvo Ocean Race alone they have released three special edition models, the V70, XC70 and the XC90.
Johan Bexell, Sponsorship and Corporate Events Director of VCC, believes the common links between the Volvo Ocean Race and Volvo Car's core philosophy makes a commercial union between the two a logical choice. He said, "We believe it is good for the brand to be linked to the ocean race as it represents many of the attributes we try to represent with our products. The race is about adventure, excitement and performance and that is what we try to achieve with our products."
