I hadn't seen this posted yet, but FYI, iTunes NOW has "episodes" X8 and X9 of Agent X's podcast.

Thanks for the heads-up, we hadn't heard X9 before.

I got 3 of the 4 prequel comics last night on my way home, #2 was sold out, and saw the password GRAVESEN on one of the S7 computer screens. A couple of pages later I noticed another computer screen with a bunch of .exe files listed along with some other stuff. It kind of stuck out at me because what was listed didn't relate to what the characters were talking about. Has anyone looked into this as maybe some more information for the S7 site?

Also, thought it was funny that the password GRAVESEN is an anagram of "Seven ARG."

Googling for "oligoarray.zip" takes us here: http://berry.engin.umich.edu/oligoarray/

Quote:
OligoArray is a program that computes gene specific oligonucleotides that are free of secondary structure for genome-scale oligonucleotide microarray construction. Selection is based on three major criteria: oligonucleotide melting temperature, specificity to a single target, or at least to the shortest list of possible targets and the inability to fold into a stable secondary structure at the hybridization temperature. Here, I describe how Tm, specificity and secondary structure are computed.

right. of course Smile

Just seems strange that they would put all of that on the screen instead of something showing police activity since they were trying to call of the police chasing BumbleBee

ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/blast/documents/blast.html

As near as I can figure from the documentation here, those files relate to nucleotide sequencing software

It's all a little over my head scientifically, but it definitely doesn't mesh with the context of the scene in the comic. I have no clue how this information could be of use to us though, any theories?

Here's something odd... At the StopSectorSeven site, someone (Takara83, I'd assume) has added a signup for a Mobile Fan Club, powered by Broadtexter...

Apparently, Agent X will send out news via our mobile phones? This could be a way for him/them to notify us about when the Sector 7 Mobile Command Center will be in our area?

Either way, I signed up for it... I'll see what it's all about...

EDIT: Summerspop, thebruce: maybe it's because my brain's a bit frazzled, or because I have to get ready for work soon, but I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out what it is I'm supposed to be doing at the Chevy site... I know thebruce has worked out a code or three, he posted as much back on teh 1st! I'm not asking for the answers (yet!), but just a little help... if you don't feel like spamming the board here, just PM me, or send me an email at methusalen[splat]gmail.com...

I think that's for buzznet users in general, to get updates from various groups. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with Stop Sector Seven itself, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

That Mobile thing only support US or Canadian providers, so, although I know as I type it that's a redundant question, can we assume someone will post any messages from X here for perusal by those of us outside North America? Smile
